Is it worth playing TOS right now?

Hello, I played the game the last beta test, and it was really good in the beginning, however many bad things started to change it, like spikes of lag, the huehue remove BR, the bots in every map where a midboss spawn, the constant spam in the /All chat, the sudden death and restrictions of the market/trade and whatever else that I didnt saw…

I keep watching this popout here, on FB and on steam comments. So my question is: Is it worth playing TOS right now, download the game and try to play it again? or maybe wait more months waiting for a miracle to happen.

They recently scheduled some positive changes for tomorrows patch (about god damn time). But its just a start to addressing the problems. I would suggest waiting.

If you paid for early access, yes.
It’s much better now and will only be better.
If you haven’t, just ignore it and play later.
Can wait years too, I’m sure there’re more fun games out there (like what I did with Mabi)

But yeah it’s been toned down, though none of the problems you mentioned have been 100% solved.
Even my normal chat got spammed by a party looking for members till my game crashed yesterday.

I actually am on the same boat, gonna wait some months to see if they fix stuff, im glad to see they slowly fix some major messes that should had been fixed way sooner, but have the feeling sometimes until theres no huge shitstorm they dont change stuff. (meaning team storage for example recently changed in korea, or pet delete buton still to be changed)

Still got hopes this can still be an incredible game. But already made up my mind it may end up not being.

[/quote]They will always happen. It’s just after playing a lot of variety of games you start accepting some things.

That doesn’t solve the issue neither fix the problem though :frowning:
But yeah, ain’t tech if there’s no issues.
After all, as my coworker said ‘I won’t believe there’s a hardware out there without any bugs’

To be honest it is better to play games like this as early as possible. Before the economy and community is just laid to waste.

There are still a lot of problems.

  • there is still lag spikes (but it is getting much better, and tomorrows patch will add options to reduce the frequent FPS drops :slight_smile: )
  • BRs are getting an SA Steam server with a free transfer soon, so there shouldn’t be any more ‘huhuehue remove BR’ complaints after that happens
  • there are now upwards of 30 bots in some maps (20+ bot in one picture (not my pic) K.server)… so, that prblem has gotten worse :worried:
  • there is still constant spam in the shout chat, mostly by gold spammers :frowning:
  • restrictions on market/trade are way worse than in beta. Some small changes are being made, but it seems like IMC is set on keeping most of these restrictions in place :worried:

I still don’t really recommend the game in it’s current state, it is fun an all, but it is still a beta in my eyes with a lot of work that still needs to be done, and will be for at least several more months.

[/quote]Stressing this. Accessing or playing a game early means you accept that there will be glaring flaws and want to help the game and community improve.

The forum might not reflect this with all the whines, but just be warned that it’s clearly a game in development. But hey, there’s a lot of happy ones out there even with all the flaws.
Ain’t reality if it ain’t with flaws.
That’s the beauty of reality.

(Okay pls don’t bait me and say it’s a game world so it’s to escape from reality)

It’s fine for $15 funtimes. But I’m probably jumping ship once the F2P horde floods the gates.

i would say no, this game is great but without massive overhaul on the skill and balancing system it has no hope of being balanced. playing an unbalanced games are like playing mazes with 100 ways to win but 3 ways are way better than the other and has red carpet on it also you got rewarded if you win the maze with that 3 ways.

My god I cant believe that many bots in one map, I mean I remember some but that now is just insane, they leave no place for real players to enjoy the game…

I hear of that early acces thing, so if I pay there willbe no bots, spikes and spammers? If its like that then its worth the price for an exclusive server, but 30-60 day of a MORPG is just too little time.

I remember IRO got the same problems and it just died when they left it F2P…

It’s a game world so it’s to escape reality!! How could you not know this!!

But in all seriousness, I came into this knowing that there’d be bugs; knowing that I may disconnect randomly; knowing that the game needs some QoL updates. I think people came in here with the wrong impression, which is why you have certain dandy people who report stuff and the whiners who have more entitlement than a royal-bred cat.

@AppleJuice Honestly if you played iCBT2, there’s no reason unless you’re already fed up with the community. And you know, that could be a given. Alot of freedoms though were taken from iCBT2 to now, so it’s somewhat less party-friendly.

tl;dr if you enjoy the game because of the game, you’ll still have fun. If you enjoy the game because of friends, maybe you should wait some time and the systems to iron themselves out.

Oh no. The botters and RMTers use stolen credit cards to bypass the money thing and do their own thing irregardless. However, it is much more limited as I’m sure there’ll be much more due to the F2P storm.

However, with everyone howling about them, IMC is finding and getting rid of them with every interval. Which I feel will be a full time job as you can’t /prevent/ bots from getting on, either stall or starve them out.

Gold Seller/Bots give me a severe Headache when go to the town…

it only enjoyable if we can reset Class freely… since sometimes the class system are too confusing…

Actually, I believe it is not a good idea to pay to play in the beta,
but for sure, things were way worser a few days ago, but the
highest issues by what I read, are the bots, gold sellers and maps
with low spawn.

Where else can you find another game with cute graphics with this interestin class system x.x
Even FFXI had 20 main jobs and can pick secondary so allow 400 combinations but the number of permutations is actually less than our crazy class trees

No, it isn’t worth playing. Don’t join, or if you join stay away from Klaipeda. It is a bad game. It won’t absorb all of your free time.
