Internet Explorer as manditory install

So hey I’m probably not the only one who didn’t have internet explorer installed on their computer but was forced to install it in order to play your game (to avoid error 47). I understand it’s the default web browser for windows and all but forcing players to not only install IE but flash for it as well seems like you could fix that in the future perhaps. It would be better for your game to be stand alone and not force players to have junk programs that they don’t want installed onto their computers. Installing your game alone should be enough.

Who else thinks this?

I for one agree on this

A good game definitely doesn’t force players to install something that is never there in the first place lel

Well it can’t be helped now can it? Let’s just hope they fix this in the future

I guess they are using it for their “Launcher”…

i havnt seen launcher based on other browser yet. (well thats me…)

Internet Explorer is always on your PC if you want it or not you cant even deinstall it you just deactivate it. If you have a Games like this you mostly need Internet Explorer. Even League of Legends is using almost the same System

Just because other games do it doesn’t mean this isn’t something that shouldn’t be fixed. Ideally it would be best to only have to install a single program (their game) and that’s it.

Huh? I don’t have Internet Explorer and ToS works just fine. IE is the first program I uninstall on a fresh install of windows.

Isn’t the problem people are having with Flash?

If you uninstall IE but install back Firefox or Chrome, he reinstall back all the components he need to run… It’s just that IE doesn’t use them correctly (Opinions Vary).

For the launcher problem, I think it’s a Flash issue.

Try uninstall it, and look if any launcher can run  (League of Legends for example)

I have the same problem, I don’t have Internet Explorer.
It seems a fail design, as it lost the purpose of using Flash. Furthermore, Flash is dying as FireFox stopped the plugin, Microsoft is considering the same, and Apple always disallow Flash.
