Improving the game

Sorry if this kind of post is repetitive but i decided to make a new one instead of posting in someone else’s thread which are generally full of off-topic arguments the developer won’t read.

When i first got into this game, it immediately reminded me of Torchlight 2. The art, the way mobs and bosses work, i loved it. This game’s very strong points are gameplay, design and art. These are the things that make people play this game and as such i think IMC should focus on polishing these aspects so that people would be willing to play for a long time. When i compare Torchlight 2 to Diablo 2, Diablo 2 is the clear winner imo because it lets me merge with the world better by giving me the chills with sounds and constantly getting me caught offguard. Here are some suggestions:

  1. NPC sounds- i think most people don’t like to read or waste time on reading the storyline because the storyline is generic not unique and presented as tiny text so using NPC sounds would help to raise interest towards the story

Considering there are so many npc-s in the game and voicing them all would cost too much i’d suggest voicing atleast the main storyline npc-s

  1. Monster character
Most monsters lack character although they look interesting and have unique traits.
For ex: pawnds and pawndels the demon sisters should be more frightening, make me shiver, yet they seem to be cute little horned demons who only want to cut me in half and then patch me up again. This could be fixed by giving them scary sounds This would help to make the game more unique and less repetitive because hitting different mobs and hearing the same sounds gets tiresome.

  2. Polishing the class system
Right now it seems that swordsmen are the easiest and strongest class to play while archers who are supposed to be more of a high risk high reward class are weaker. This encourages people to play less weaker classes and the game will be less versatile with most people converting to swordsmen

  3. Linear play path
I wouldn’t suggest this if it weren’t for the fact that this game has over 60 classes and people want to create many characters. Most open-world MMO-s fix this by expanding the area players can visit and giving them daily activities such as gathering certain things for experience or similiar.

IMC could also change the main storyline a bit for each baseclass. This way it would be less repetitive if a person wants to try out other classes.

If these four things would be done, the gameplay would be superb and make the players play for longer than they would right now.

If the gameplay is awesome, it will make the players last for a bit but to secure a healthy community for the future i think this game lacks free room where to talk and hang out. I doubt that people would warp to a low level monster area to talk to each other in private and there are so few cities that most places are crowded that’s why adding more towns or non-monster areas with beautiful terrain would help out a lot, maybe add areas for private guild houses? Otherwise as a straight out hack’n’slash game like it is right now it won’t last for long.

PS: Please reply with more tips and suggestions on how to fix this game and what you think about these ideas rather than arguing amongst each other

Wish the best for the developers
