Improvements for a Neater Experience

Hello everyone ! Im going to point out some things that i didnt really appreciate im not complaining about anything plus since the day that i saw the trailers for this game i just felt that this game was going to be Trickster online the improved version which is a Nexon game ! it was so underrated it eventually closed down and ToS was like a new hope for me to find a game similar to it !

That game was Tidy as Hell! you just knew where to go everything was polished the npc were fun to talk to and each one had its own unique look and personality, the graphics were 2D with a fixed isometric view similar to this game ( Tos is like an improved version of that game in a really good way!) and i would just hate to see this game fail because of a few reparable problems.

Things that are on point! :
Graphics! Hands Down the greatest iv seen on a 3D online game no joke!! the environment just feels full of stuff to look at and keeps your eyes busy, the color schemes are on point! quite the eye candy
Monster design: usually games suck at it but this one got it right!
characters: look awesome really nice design!
Menus: got used to them in like 3 days! they look and feel awesome!

and things that i didnt quite like were

1.Maps Layout:
the map looks awesome but its just so confusing!, i started playing a week ago and i just couldn’t find my way around, and i believe that Klaipeda should be right in the center of the map and from it you can start spreading since everyone goes there i figured it should be like a capital and usually capitals are found right in the center of a country,

Trickster online had its main city (Megalopolis) right in the center of the world map like i explained above, plus for each zone they had a small city of its own where NPCs would be found with shops and all that good stuff and it just helped relief the player somehow it felt like entering your own home haha!

Tos just made me feel real desperate to find a place to relax and buy some potions maybe with a more relaxing music to go along with it just adds a whole other level of atmosphere in my opinion!

just to clarify im not complaining about the maps themselves but how they are arranged.

2.Music: I think you would agree with me that music is really important in a game especially one where you might end up playing for hours ! i dont mean to be disrespectful in any way but the game has some areas where the music just doesn’t seem to relate with the given map and instead just feels annoying and repetitive that i had to turn down the speakers in some areas

Please dont hate me for these comparisons but i swear Trickster online had one the best soundtracks that i’v heard for a game, it relates so much with the map !, maybe it had a bigger budget to be able to create high quality music that just made me think twice before i leave a map, sometimes when i afk i turn the volume a bit, each city had its own unique and really really lovable soundtracks that were easy on the ears and memorable, i really hope to hear a new soundtrack in the game !

I do really wish if you had a chance to work with the same team that created Trickster online, i believe you could make great improvements together!

ummm, nope? This game has far too many anthropomorphic enemies.
Even the trees have legs and hands. It’s a pretty lazy and lacking monster design and variety compared to Ragnarok online.

In Ragnarok Online (which was ± created by the same people that founded IMC,that’s why I’ll use it for a comparison), not only were the monster designs way more divergent but also mostly befitting the race they represented.

In TOS there are so few races and it’s still hard to tell which race a monster belongs to, let alone tell its element. There are also way more recolorings of monster sprites in TOS than in RO.
And post-balance,they are not even a threat anymore.

You seem to have missed the story. The capital which was in the middle of the map, was destroyed by the disaster and only the far outer cities were left unharmed, that’s why mining cities like Klaipeda became the starting point of the story, it’s the point farthest away from all threats.

If you want to start with only level 100+ monsters around, you’re free to communte to these places on foot…

The music is outright bad. Although there are some good music pieces, most are just unbefitting the game world as a whole. According to the graphics, one would’ve expected more Folk and Classical/Baroque music, but instead you get only electric (how to express my disgust without swearing…Ah! I know!) cacophony <_<.
After playing some hours, I disabled the BGM for good.

Ragnarok Online was really nice with its music (which is also mostly composed by SoundTemp, a group that also was partially involved in the TOS soundtrack but with shockingly bad performance on their side; no wonder the more recent RO music composed by them was such a letdown/bummer) that fit the theme of the game well.
