So, maybe this just worked for me, but I guess it’s worth sharing:
I own a Nvidia GTX 650TI Boost OC, not the fastest vga out there, I know, but I expected it to hold the game much better that it actually ended up doing.
Normally, I get the steady 60 fps, but in crowded maps like Demon Prison District 2 the FPS really drops a lot, to around 20~30.
Today, I accidentaly TURNED OFF THE VERTICAL SYNC and boom, I’m playing brand new game. Now I’m getting 50~60 fps in Demon Prison District 2 most of the time, and 90 fps every now and then.
My noob guess is: the game applied a vertical sync while the vga itself had already applied another vertical sync, so they overlapped by some weird reason (I had that in Dota 2 once, IIRC). Turning ToS’s Vsync off removed the 30 fps limit when in more laggy maps.
Maybe it just worked on this specific model, but I guess it’s worth a shot. Tell me if it works for you too. \o/
PS.: I’m running the game in 1920 x1080 Fullscreen, not windowed mode.
