IMC, what now? what have i done wrong?

Today i’m happy that i finally have my first 2 velcof items after a very long grind.
So i enhanced them and hope for +11.

ssssssssss2

I don’t know how to feel right now after all the time and silver i spent.
What should i do now? re-do everything from the start again?
What should i do differently to prevent this from happening again after i re-do it?
I don’t know, i feel demotivated to play now tbh.
Some answer from you would be nice. Thank you.

Sorry this happened to you, but this is tos in a nutshell.
Really hope to see some revamps on enhancing soon.

Incoming another round of circle jerk on how “enhance RNG is the only end game in tos”

Don’t get greedy

If you really care that much about a small upgrade to your physical defense, use the socket and then golden anvils. Most of my Velco armor suffered the same fate, but I’m waiting to get the monster gems I’m missing before socketing it. Once you transcend it you really won’t even notice the difference between +6 and +11.

Weapon on the other hand, yeah, you’d probably wanna start over. If it has 1 pot sell it to someone who will use it for an alt and is willing to golden it up to +11.

if you getting depressed because of playing game then you play it incorrectly.
it is just a digital item, doesnt worth to make you depressed, dont be obsessed.
Try to learn how to move on, go out there, see the sun is still shiny and the sky is still blue regardless how success/failed your velco equip, and make a new objective(s) within the game.

I learned a good lesson from one guildmate about people running around and shouting high enhancement gears:

(not verbatim, but something like this)

You know the iceberg effect? You may not know it but they just share their successes, and not the many fails they’ve had before it.

I’m not a lucky person, and that extends to this game - that’s why I just save up and buy stuff I need after losing hundred millions trying to make +16 weapon or even a +11 armor/shield. It’s a long grindy process, but what else can we expect from a grindy korean MMORPG without throwing real cash into it?

Also, never rage anvil. Never. I make it a rule to stop doing it after two consecutive fails on the same gear.

You might as well enjoy the benefits of a +6 trans5+ now until a better set of armor set is implemented or until you saved up enough to try your luck at +11 or buy it from others.

Slowly but surely!

i usually just make up for it by transcending Owo

you need to learn the very basic principle of life. you cant earn what you think best that easy. there are steps. bad decent good better best. and some might fail along the way. thats what you got from rush things. do you expect to reach+11 that easy?and dude its legend gear, not some common or magic gear. if its that easy all gears in market are +11.
even if you leave tos and play another mmorpg, youll likely encounter another rng stuff like this.let it be a lesson dude.

I think you should open that gem slot and transcend it to 10. If it is already 0 potent, try anvil it with golden anvil to +6. Best luck.

I only ever try to +9 on armor, it has a fairly high success chance (usually doable with one gear), and the difference between +9 and +11 is only about 300 or 400 defence in total, so you don’t lose that much by not going +11.

Sure, it’s sad that you can’t reach +11 or +16 easily on every armor equipment, but it doesn’t really matter that much once it’s transcended anyway.
That is because of the way how defence vs attack works in this game, it will only make a little difference and only against Demon Lords and Velcoffer, and/or if you have some highly enhanced Demon Lord card to benefit from the defence boost more than just once (e.g. Demon Lord Zaura/Nuaele card at 5 stars or higher, so you get over 150% of the anvil value), or some skill that benefits from it (e.g. Paladins Barrier or Sanctuary or Peltastas Guardian).

Pretty much what Csiko have said. On gear, by average +11 is the goal but can’t tell difference if you trans them afterwards. Sometimes it is just about that “itch” of not having them the way you want it to be.

And yes you have 2 paths in gear progression here in ToS. You either basically farm it yourself and try your luck (time investment) or farm silver and buy it from others (silver investment)

My suggestion is that if you plan using it for a long time, use pot to socket then golden anvils til +11 then trans whatever.

I’m not that familiar with anvil enhancement. Seems like people aim for +11 or +16. I assume there is a jump in value between +10 and +11, also between +15 and +16?

+6, +11, +16, +21 all have increased amounts.

"After years of working very hard i’m finally a millionaire.
So i went to the casino and bet all my money, hoping to get even more…
To my dismay, i lost almost all the money i’ve earned over the last years.

Dear casino owners, what should i do now? What have i done wrong?
What can i do so i win at the casino the next time i have some money to gamble with?"

The answer is : Don’t trust/rng gambling systems.
They are deliberately made to make people waste money/time and make them feel its their own fault when they fail so they try again, costing even more money and time.

Totally agree, i find hilariuos how some people really do think it’s fault of the player and not of the stupid rng enhancement system.

Imc must let it this way… I will never forget how diamond anvils (Glitch?) broke the game enhancing alot of players equipments to +20 making a legion of super players before velcoff stuff. Upgrade must be safe until + 10 (or less i dont know, imc chooses). What comes after this must be RNG (And with a RARE chance of success) to prevent alot of super mans in the game.

5 fails in a row! Nice RNG based game.

Taking set effect is more important than getting +11

Even if you are lucky to get +21 or +40

Do you have enough silver to extract ichor?

The system is a joke.

Usually people that show highly enchanted items have the silver to enchant many copies of the same item, so if one of them is +4 0 pot, they will have one that is +16 or better. I’ve started to do that for armor: instead of enchanting one, I wait until I have my whole armor/pants/gloves/boots set and start enchanting them all at the same time, switching once I get a fail to avoid “failure streaks”.

Then what about that? It’s the 7th weapon I crafted (you need average 6 weeks full reroll and 150 millions)
