IMC, What are you doing? -- a thread

And another thing, I wouldn’t have created this thread if the bot problem isn’t as bad as it is now.

I’ve long acknowledged that bots are a plague in every online game, but the severity in TOS is much different.

That’s my point in posting overall playercount when I roamed to look for bots.

Very likely that Telsiai alone has 40-60% bot population.

I opened this thread to discuss what is actually going on and why some obvious botters were getting ignored despite breaking the obvious rule.

“What are you doing”, IMC?

Please calm down and avoid clicking these threads if you hate them, i understand your frustration but your post is unnecessary. i prefer people complaining about what’s broken rather then leaving it until the game dies, the game’s population dropped because the core issues still hasn’t been dealt with…

lag, bugs, and bots (i get that it’s nearly impossible but it’s quite obvious that they need to hire more gms or implent a event that allows players to ban / hunt bots)

not to mention the horrible optimization, this is literally the only game that overheats my graphics card… and ofc the fps drops still happen especially when there is 1 priest chap krivis inquisitor with max dps…

There is a big difference between a relationship with your partner and the relationship between a company and its paying customers.
As customers we are free and have the right to complain and demand improvements whenever we encounter serious flaws with the product, aswell as complain more and in a more vocal way if the company clearly does nothing or not enough to solve the issues, especially when this has been going on for months and months.

with how powerful lua hooks they are using, as they can see anyone who is online (protocol: GMs goes in, look for themselves), i’m looking forward seeing you quitting.

I left several times, no biggie.

I only come back time to time to play around with updates, but I’m not playing seriously anymore.

I’d only be looking to kill myself otherwise.

Not entirely true, I’ve spent quite a lot already for 2+ years, and continued to be for the very least, a Token’s worth per month. I could say my contribution is quite big enough in comparison to those untouchable whales who repeatedly exploit, caught on tape multiple times, yet they can freely walk free just like that. Meanwhile I got perma-banned instantly, I don’t even know what IMC based it on. Was it only a quickie caught on cam? I don’t know really nowadays what IMC’s best judgement is.

Having filed multiple appeals along with information that helped them patch up quite a lot over the past few days, but guess what? No ban lifted, no priors, even gave proof for them to validate that no third party program was used, I just appealed for my ban to not be perma (of course everyone needs to be punished), but nah. Yet these damn bots still walk free, even other players who have been exploiting has since then been banned but have managed to get released and walk free. So it’s just gonna be like that?

What is the secret? Why give special treatment? Did they help the community that much? Did they pay that much TP to make the game alive even if it goes dead? Who knows, one thing I’m salty about is they’ve gotten that much time to research and look into special cases too for outright banning me, despite numerous reports of repeat offenders in which they seem to have turned a blind eye towards, why not look into their cases too then? Where’s the consistency in that? Some got banned, got released afterwards, did they even pay? Who knows, I’m quite interested to know myself so I’ll be blunt, how much does it take to get unbanned?

Stay banned and move along or reroll a new account. IMC can ban you for anything.

Oddly enough, there has been no response to know “What IMC is doing”.
While the screenshots are appreciated, most players know that there is at least ONE bot per map per channel, particularly end-game zones (at least on Server Klai).
Most of them Necrosorcerers, already a infamous class due the extreme usage of it for botting; I cant help but to report a bot whenever i see them, despite the small possibility that it is a legit necrosorcerer just playing normally but i rather take no chances (though most of them pretty obvious like Ms Eutigbuig or Mr Assfgngng).

Another thing that striked me as odd was the returning savior/new player thingie, which was designed to help new/returning players with equipment and items, but the ones who took more advantage of it were the bots, essentially giving them semi-godlike equipment for 30 days, plus a lot of buffs so they level up faster and bot more efficiently on high level zones…did i just said that?

And yes, it does feel like the bots are being protected by the GMs, probably because we poor F2P players are not contributing to the cause. Why release it as F2P game then? Why not follow a similar purchasing model such as Guild Wars 2 or better yet, its economy/market system?

There’s so many things that can be done to make this game better and yet it feels stagnant “Just wait for Rank 10 updates” and “Look at these new crappy costumes!” doesn’t do any good.
How about populating some long forgotten maps with more mob and check the experience tables? Why make Demon Prison 2 the only acceptable leveling place for mid-level players?
Why make so many maps if players will always end up on the same leveling places?

We need changes that improves the game reputation and give new (and existing) players a better image of what they are playing.

Meanwhile, before the thread closes,
on a frundsberg report thread:

Hmmm wonder if it was permanent or for a few days only? We’ll never know I guess. It could just be a few days then Frundsberg renames his team and it would seem like he was permabanned.

no details given, but we already know how frundsberg does things so he can’t hide.
