Main (360): all quests done
Active alt (340): all quests done up to Epherotao
Inactive alt (340 – waiting for wiz update for reset): all quests done up to Mishekan
Inactive alt (160 – wannabe Falconer needing stupid extra slot for the hawk): all quests done up to Manahas (yeah you level way faster now and doing quests is the best way to be really ahead of recommended level for maps)
Inactive alt (110 – not enough time to level this one until I’m done with the active alt): all quests done up to Royal Mausoleum (still have to do the Delmore arc)
So that’s 5 chars too, one is finished, currently doing quests on another. Also gave me the opportunity to make a little guide on where to get the “guaranteed” stuff, where to find the chests and keys to open them, and where to get the stat boosts. This will help me prioritize which maps and which quests to complete each time I level up a char.
you can tell me what u want but i think balancing should be done by taking Control of the system. As it is now - our upgrade System is out of Control.
It would be so much easier if they limiting the upgrade/trans to a Point that is meaningful for the actual Content instead of allowing ppl to upgrade their equipp to the highest possible and insane Version let them even skipping or make them thinking twice about changing their eq in the next patch.
Honestly guys - if belcoper patch hit and u would have a +26 Trans 10 weapon - would you swap without considering that you have to spend millions of Money again for…not that much more dmg that is not needed anyway?
Another issue is the uniqueness of Mobs. They rarely use skills (or are dead before they have a Chance for). Thinking about ragnarok, the Monster were totally different from ours because their strengh came from skills they were abel to use (not to mention that they should get a propper AI so that it actually feels like u fighting something and not hitting a moving dummy)
I know that a propper AI is one of the hardest things to program but it would improve the game by A LOT.
AND could be a Counter against the necro afk Farmers too, imagine Mobs avoiding places where they are killed - Problem solved !?
Maybe not because of the spawn.
If the Mobs would spawn on the WHOLE map at random (or considering those kill places), it would be harder (not impossible) for afk Farmers to get silver simply because it would need more of them to get a meaningfull respawn (i remember orc dungeon in ragnarok)
Bosses in this game already have a good quantity of skills but fighting them does not feel like u fight the evilst of the evil…
The only way to get em stronger right now is increasing their health because they actual have skills (but are dead before they can use them most of the time) due to our unbalanced refining System and the increadible amount of buffs/debuffs.
Balancing could be also done by Change them into buff/debuff tiers like you only can have enchant fire/sacrament/ect because they have the same buff Tier = add. element prop. attack (like ragnarok sage endow)
So that u have to think of what kind of buff u rly Need.
We have so many Cards that are good against specific races but no place where they are usefull.
Element/Monster type themed Areas may be Counter for some classes but would give those Cards a meaning.
you mentioned more variety in lvling process (not only for alts)
I think my idea of themed Areas may fit in here pretty well because the place you caan lvl faster than in others would be highly influenced by your class, skills, equippment and i dont mean if ur OP or not but more like matching the rquirements to get an Advantage over those.
On top it may be funny to implent Counterparts aka predators that are effective against the envoirment (and you) hunting in that area to rise the difficulty (like opposite element, immunity to certain debuff ect.) in low Count but significant stronger. (good for getting rid of afk necros as well)
About silver sink - the silver sink is only as good as the Things u get for that trade.
For example - lvling gear is a good sink method because u get more out of it because of trans ect.
Attribute Points are not so good in Terms of silver sink because of insane cost for a min effect.
In Long term Attribute points are better because they are not bound on gear.
So the silver sink is still high BUT ppl that see no Point in wasting millions for low% will not use this method so there is no silversink effect at all. Iam honest here - i dont think that the current ways of silver sink are the ideal way but do not have any other ideas how to fix this.
For a medium Player like me ist already hard to get Money in great amounts.
Iam also not a fan of daily Things because the effect of :i have to do (and no time for anything else) Shows up pretty quickly.
We badly Need a balanced pvp/GvG like WoE in ragnarok here or else there is no real achievabel “Goal” besied the ones you set yourself.
iam also wondering: we have fishing now (simple but at least…) why no cooking, gathering ect like in other big games (dont have to mention the names have i) it would create an alternative for daily dungeon, raid, saalus, challenge mode, missions, quest… see how many daily activities we have ? I bet i forgot some to mention here.
PS i dont want to talk the game worse than it is, just want to Point out Points that may be should have another look at
Agreed, monsters in this game have a big lack of charm and identity, but we used to have some monsters using skills, for example Pole of Agony, and it was a big mess, they dealt so much damage.
They would need to add skills to many enemies, and rebalance them. They’re already struggling enough with our own classes…
While I do think this is a very original idea, I feel like it wouldn’t fit in the game. I think the closest we’ll ever get from this are the Hunting Grounds, which are great in my opinion.
You consider yourself as a medium player, right? So how do you feel if for example, you reaaaally wanted to play the old falconer 3 and the old Circling: Expand attribute, which was an absolute need to have, but it costs 25m. What do you do? Do you get your money through grind and selling, give up the class or play it half completed because of the attribute?
Sure, the attribute has been reworked and isn’t really needed anymore, but as I said, some classes still have extremely necessary attributes for an extravagant cost.
Added this directly to the suggestions, I’d really want them. They can be jobs and make some more money earnings, making some high-level recipes demanding to get some resources we could get only through these jobs, and them having levels, so you’d actually have something more relaxing to do than leveling, grinding and saalusing.
Call me weeb but that reminded me, I’d really like a couple/wedding feature with that.
As long as it’s not put behind a pay-wall like in Elsword.
about the falconer: my point was not that the attributes are bad or not needed its just that the silver sink behind it is bad.
Since you asked me - iam the kind of player that would pay it and would play the class as long half finished as it take to get it complete.
But iam not the measurement that would count anything - most players wont touch it, if they want to avoid those cost and i admit that i wasnt clear enough - i ofc meant the dmg attributes that rises to insane amounts and make them unatraktive
Amazing that after 2 years still has “Alices” in this game game, seriously believing that the changes came on account of their feedbacks, AGREE!
**
All the change in the TREE OF SAVIOR came on behalf of the community COREANA, the changes happen there and are passed to the others.
**
Do not fall for the tale of these “defenders” of the ITOS … Your suggestions for IMC here are just like nothing, for they do not have the power to change anything relevant in the game, just to create gashas.
Incredible as after 2 years, a desperate fusion of servers for the account of FEW players and an event of EXHAUST gasha, there are still people who defend this “ebô”.
However, let’s continue to see, how far this horrible administration will take the game …
My princessa dream was that the team here would be 1% equal to Korean, only 1%. Day 13 has a hole cover and crash event.
Until today I look for this improvement … Not only, like the more than 10k players that have removed from the game. And again I repeat, the changes were not due to the “team of the ITOS”, but because of the Korean dev, the here only translate and bugs.
The game in korea is improving, the player base there is growing … But here? Each day only falls and to sustain themselves they push more boxes and boxes events, so that the “muggles” buy more.
It’s not about all the changes, some changes are from our feedback. Most from korean players feedback.
We’re small but our feedback isn’t null.
They don’t have the power. Sure.
But STAFF does send stuff to devs.
Keep this in mind: Just because someone doesn’t implement what you want doesn’t mean they never considered it.
You like to exclude all times they listened to us.
I like to consider it because they’re facts.
If you prefer to lie being a troll and ignoring facts just to try to put more emphasis on your posts, that’s not my problem, accept the truth.
Improving doesn’t mean magic. There’s a lot more to improve and it’s more taxing as the time goes.
Still doesn’t exclude the fact that the game is improving, it’s better than before.
Good thing you finally found it. teehee
Of course, all the early changes happens in Korea first.
The test server is there, the main servers are there. Doesn’t change the fact that some few ideas comes iToS.
In fact, we might have the same opinion as kToS players for most non-cash stuff. Our feedback adds even more value to theirs, which is valid as well.
Game improvement isn’t only about population growth. They’re separate things.
Oh “push more boxes events”? I thought this was the first one. When was the previous one?
Everyone agrees that gacha is bad. But everyone agrees that it makes money. And everyone knows that people supports it and some like it. Many, many companies uses loot boxes in different ways between themselves. If players are supporting them, no one is going to remove gacha from one day to another.
And other than cash-stuff we get most of ktos content, so, by your own words, iToS is also improving, altho with a slower pace.
It is improving though, saying anything else is lying.
It’s just moving at a snail pace and people are getting bored.
All the recent events have been a joke with barely any reason to make you stay.
I’m starting to miss the different types of events now, with actually good rewards. I remember getting several skill and stat reset potions from events before the combat reworks, which felt nice. I also liked the halloween and platforming events. Alot of hate, but they were atleast unique and had good rewards.
Whos the bigger fool? the one who has dreams or the one who stopped dreaming, think twice about this.
Ppl always think that their opinion and actions have no influence and tbh it could look like that but the truth is that we influence everything with our actions. It DOES matter that only a minority of us is buying the Gacha cubes.
Does anyone of you thought about why they actually increased the reward? (Diamond anvil)
It is not that important if we get an answer here or if they actual Change something to our desire just discussing it is a pleasure (my opinion)
If we want to Change something we should make votes to certain Topics and showing imc the result of the mass because for a Company only the mass count because Money talks.
The best what IMC could do is making Events to improve the game - aka Workshops, analysing pro and con of certain ideas and giving big Prices to those who are willing to help or even to the whole Server the participateur comes from.
That’s normally a given but it’s also pretty subjective. There are people out there who believe the game got worse with the addition of guild neutrality, leticia cubes, gvg removal, etc.
And the snail pace of updates isn’t even the biggest problem.
The problem is that IMC keeps doing the same thing they’ve been doing for 2 years now and it clearly doesn’t work. They focus too much on gear grinding. You make your game about gearing up if you have deep combat mechanics, good combat gameplay and good content to use your gear on. But ToS doesn’t have any of this: obscure and glitchy mechanics and skill descriptions, bad performance, slow paced combat with poor controls and too much visual clutter, misleading notion of build diversity, etc. Gear makes even less sense since armor doesn’t have visuals so you can’t even grind it for cosmetic purposes.
The few actually good things (cosmetics, because I’m pretty sure most of the players stick with ToS because of cute graphics) about the game are completely hidden behind the gacha wall, which only promotes this stupid “do saalus, check the market then logout” loop: you make money from saalus then you buy cosmetics (or even gear) from whales. I don’t understand how can they not see the importance of cosmetics and other casual activities (even combat related) when you have people spending hundreds of dollars every month of cosmetics, pets and toys. But maybe that’s why they refuse to move it out of gacha… you know, the milking thing and stuff. That’s really sad though.
And then they also think that adding more frustrating RNG layers to a pointless activity is somehow good design. Bad use of RNG is another problem with IMC.
Some people obviously like mindless grinding for the sake of mindless grinding, but can they keep the game alive by themselves?
So far it doesn’t seem like things will change any time soon. The future updates are just more of the same practically.
Just saying what I’ve experienced so far. I haven’t played long enough to be affected by those guild changes and I don’t care about that cube personally.
I disagree with some of your negative opinions there. The engine performance makes battle more annoying though, sure.
It’s a bit sad to see no mention of pvp additions anymore, I have to say. The main reason I’m on with the “mindless grinding” is to gear up for future pvp, which I’m probably (?) not alone on. So I’d like to see something like GvG again, even though I’m not in a guild yet.
Less bugs isn’t subjective.
Less exploit windows isn’t subjective.
Better drop system isn’t subjective.
More guild content to do with guild isn’t subjective.
Quality of life enhancement aren’t subjective.
<insert more items here>
If you have 2 years experience you also know that that area also improved. It’s not great, not even near, but better than before.
We saw too overpowered monsters, bosses with more skills, monsters that will never kill you, bosses acting like HP bag.
But we also see that it changes little by little. R9 monsters AI is better than R8 and previous AIs, they’re not great, but better. Demon Lords got new skills and attacks added along with other stats, we got the Kugheri boss from raid that is better than previous dungeon-type bosses.
These are really medium-long term changes. But even so, they improve the system in a really slow pace.
You probably just ignore the small improvements because you only look to the scenario with a macro point of view, not looking for details. Which isn’t really bad, that’s your opinion, I respect it.
But it’s going too far to use your view as justification to ignore details and say there’s no improvement whey there are improvements between game regions and overall gameplay.
But another thing is that everyone knows the game needs more challenges, more mechanics and combat gameplay changes (not only values and balacing).
But you’re pretty much looking to a building from outside, saying it never changed over months. When people are actually working on the inside where you’d easily ignore if you’re not interested. Still, would make you a liar to claim there was no progress.
I, and a lot of players as well, like the core game. The combat system idea is pretty fun. But in practice it could be far better.
The game has cute graphics and music, sure. But another point that I stick to play it is because the game has a unique-ish style, it’s a MMO that doesn’t feel like the “3D realistic, come see, graphics”.
One a last note about this, most of current players aren’t here just for cosmetics. As we all know, the game has too many problems, if most of the current player base were here mostly we wouldn’t see as much of posts asking to improve other parts of gameplay they wish it could be better, just like this topic.
First I followed the news/forum as I wanted to play again after the game turns playable again.
There was Rank9, some new features, some new classes but in the end even more RNG. Just RNG to get screwed by more RNG. And Gatcha and more Gatcha. Sometimes in my break or on the train I look into the forum and people still believe it gets better. Muay Thai is very cool, but still the game is nothing but cash to transcend and RNG for 0 fun features and dozens of retarded restrictions. I fetch the new music files from the steam folder and that’s it.
I wonder about what happens if the cashcows leave one day. Will IMC turn the game into something good after it’s far to late or will it be a silent death?
Will I see the end before One Piece ends… I will stay tuned at least.
