IMC, please do something about KS and other mobs killing disrespect

Hi!

The fact that other players attack the mob that we are attacking is very annoying. I have the following suggestion:

  • Only the player who made the first hit on the mob can keep attacking.
  • But if the player is in a group, everyone can attack any mob.

I don’t disrepect (kill) other players mobs that is grinding or doing quests. I don’t touch them. And I can play normal, It’s has never been a problem. I’m at level 58 at the moment and I keep killing MY mobs, I don’t need to kill others players mobs to advance, I never needed, never passed throught my mind.

But I think people feel the great need to kill mobs of the others.

Yes, by the great disrespect of humanity, we need restrictions for everything.

I agree with this, but you have to make an exception for field bosses though.

having your suggested system only lead to some jerk hitting every single mob in the area and making it impossible for you to even get a single kill…

+1 but some ppl needs to rework their empathy. Maybe a Reset Potion for Respect?

There’s enough restrictions as it is. Mechanics like the one OP suggested would get under my skin way more than the occasional KS.

Sanctuary. some lvl 176 ■■■■■■ is killing my quest mobs, but I’m the KS… ggwp

Should really be first tag ect gets the mob. but really i feel like it could be abused too, there really is no way to make a perfect system. But yeah, i think another solution might be to increase the mob density and spawn rates, as it is right now people fight for mobs because there are to little of them.

I agree it has to have an anti-Kill Steal system. I’m not saying you can only attack the mob group or what hit, but at least it gave the first hit to earn XP and items for quests.
Yes, it’s quite annoying you mobar and come another person and steal everything.
This would greatly help the current system of grinding.
To advise to others that she gets nothing killing stealing mob of another person, the mob life bar could stay gray for other players who do not have the first blow. Of course, this influence directly on improvement the respawn system.

There will never be a perfect anti-KS system.

Take wow for example. It has the before mentioned tagging system. One guy can run around and grab every mob before you can without worrying about losing his tag on the earlier mobs thus leaving you in the exact same predicament you are in now.

Either you sit and wait to tag a mob, or you sit and wait to kill a mob. It’s literally going to be the same concept and people will whine regardless.

The perfect anti-KS system is PK system.
Thats also true for anti-bot.

That could be fixed somehow by setting the tag count to a couple monsters at once at most… But yeah then you’d have to have restrictions for AoE stealing as well.

Honestly I did most of my playtime as a solo player and while I got to be victim from KS it really only happened, well, 5 or 6 times over roughly 150 hours? Obviously not counting accidental KS.
