The more I learn about it the more it comes to that. It seems to have existed since after the maint itself, but some idiotic belligerent most likely was actually more of an idiot over the sneaky real exploiters, shared it with their friends, and that spread faster than Pandemic-Black Death Stream. Roughly around Wednesday~Thursday.
-You get a rollback and the problem magically erases. In fact innocent progress gets erased too. Everything does, for better or worse. Had it been rerolled I probably would have lost making my Riene Mace +12 and it would have been back at +6, with just 6~ Potential due to failing alot prior. How would you feel if you just crafted an 8x tome, powerleveled only to realized others ruined your experience and rolled you back? Anything with RNG and Time invested done during that time is effectively forgotten.
~You don’t rollback and the problem exists. Innocents WILL get caught, abusers WILL escape free, and time will slowly move forward still. Is the damage small enough to actually contain? Can they do it in a timely manner of removing people’s excessively gained items recently? I think they can, but mistakes will happen. Hell, if Riot can’t even get their Tribunal working and have only now, after over half a decade of pure toxicity and criticism reworked how to not be toxic in a massively played MOBA game, then I can’t expect IMC of all people to be more competent in terms of letting people go.
I didn’t do anything because I had a feeling it’d be a giant sinkhole. Tested it in a field and I decided not to play, and just chill on Twitch. And low and behold, I log back in without any restriction whatsoever. Who would have thought?
iirc there’s no way anyone would come out unscathed; and no way people wouldn’t get mad at something that happened here. So we’re back on the IMC hate train, for however long that occurs. (Or, whoever were actually taking this game seriously to begin with, lol)
