“most likely” means you don’t know for sure.
obivously i dont. but thats my guess.
IMC please lock my account also, I want to receive the compensation.
Team name: Zoaldyeck
I think you should start and shut your ***** mouth since you literally won an art contest with stolen assets lurid animal
Oh yeah?
If so my title would be already taken long time ago. I shoud suggest you to read a book, but by judding by your nick… you dont seen to have much brains, lurid animal.
Anyways, good job to the exploiters that stood with their insane amount of cubes and received this absurd compensation:
Way to go IMC!! That’s exactly how you incentivize people to exploit your mistakes.
The problem is that not everyone who “exploited” did it on purpose. If you just leveled normally in any HG (or went killing any mob for a while, really) during last saturday you would of gotten an absurd amount of dpk items (monster gems, cubes, BBs, rare materials, etc).
IMC isn’t compensating the malicious exploiters, those who actively sought to sell dpk items and make tons of silver out of it.
The compensation is for unfairly blocking from playing people who didn’t “intend” to exploit. These players are unable to play right now simply because they went grinding (or even just doing quests, for some) at a bad moment.
but people that still did it with malicious intents but didn’t sell anything are still getting the compensation too
Then seriously, what better criterion can you propose for separating people who got dpk items by just doing their usual ingame stuff from those who tried to abuse the lower dpk to profit from it before it was fixed?
I seriously can’t see any criteria which actually works better than the one IMC’s adopting, namely whether a player actually tried to “rushedly” make money out of the dpk itens dropped or not.
There will always be unfairness for both sides. There were tons of people who got unfairly blocked, too. People who even reported the bug with a ticket and still got their accounts locked.
IMC is trying to minimize damage to these people by giving a generous compensation. They are trying very hard not to push players away from their game with this decision. I still think a rollback would of been much cleaner, fairer and easier, but oh well.
Think of it this way:
Would you leave the game because some people got a nice compensation (even those with intend to exploit)? Unlikely.
Would people who didn’t exploit on purpose, got their account locked for a week, not given any compensations at all for a mistake IMC did themselves decide to leave the game because of unfair treatment? Much more likely.
Finally someone’s actually looking at the issue from a businees point of view. Kudos to you, sir!
IMC made the first series of mistakes regarding the dpk numbers. They then took a while to realize/admit it and try to remedy what they’d done. Lots of players, either aware or not of what was going on, kept on playing the game as per usual or focusing on farming dpk stuff.
How to differentiate these players without delaying the blocks even longer? If there’s no sensible way to do so, isn’t it much better to prioritize some damage control instead, meaning try to minimize the amount of players who’d actually stop playing over these issues?
Pretty simple answer, rollback for everyone, and this level of compensation for everyone…
I bet you that it would be a much better solution…
Now, some random people got blocked but is receiving this insane compensation, people who was online during the bug kept 1 of their items…
And people that didnt abuse at all, like not getting online, just got to see tons of people with monster gems and battle bracelets, and some with tons of vouchers and leticias…
Really, the staff behind the critical decision must be pretty retarded… Maybe this is the right choice on some asian countries, but definitely it isn’t on western countries, especially on Latin american coutnries…
This, like all the others game breaking bug decisions, will have the opposite effect on players behaviours, ESPECIALLY brazilians…
Well, after Silute’s channel bug to duplicate items, silver and 100% refinement I’ve got out… Returned like a month ago, just to leave again…
Good luck for those who stay, and if a bug appears…
Be sure to exploit them like hell, don’t eat neither sleep and keep exploiting it! else you’ll get pretty frustrated, and probably pretty much behind, since you will not get the nice OP compensations!
Players whose accounts are considered to have abused the issue will NOT be receiving compensation.
Accounts which have obtained large amounts of the irregular DPK items, but have kept those items within the team by crafting them, modifying them or otherwise utilizing them, will not be subject to further restrictions. The items in question and subsequent products, however, will be seized.
This is what I’ve been trying to say to people.
If a similar bug ever surfaces in future, this entire situation proves to us to just exploit it for personal character growth and don’t put them up on the market/trade them. At least then, regardless of what happens you’re either going to end up with a character fully decked out in half-decent equipment/stock of DPK items or you get a decent amount of rare TP items; Leticia cubes in this respect especially. Whereas those who don’t abuse bugs get left with potentially useless items (xp tomes, multipliers etc), since for those who already have a set of maxed out characters, these literally do nothing.
I mean, with the release of the new pract accessories coming “soon”, the potential pract from those cubes is even more valuable.
Sorry guys I was wrong, if a bug appears, EXPLOIT IT LIKE HELL…
but keep it for you alone, DONT SELL your profit or SHARE IT with your mates, wait form IMC to give you a ton of gifts…
If you dont receive gifts, well… Then that means that you can use your exploit freely but try to not brag over it all over the game!
I’ll wait and see.
I have specifically warned that by not immediately shutting down for emergency maintenance and doing a rollback you would only incentivize(reward) cheating.
Furthermore, this was not a “bug”. This was from a sloppy patch that was not even tested. You could not of missed an error this big if you just killed a map of monsters with a command, looted that map and noticed 10 cubes instead of 0 to 1.
Don’t shift the blame. You guys messed up, and that happens. People only get upset when you fail to admit fault and deny or shift responsibility.
In the future you should just not allow login when the servers come up and do a quick test to make sure it works. Then allow people to log on.
No player did anything out of the norm. They logged in to kill monsters for loot, and way more than normal dropped.
(Referring to the replies, rather than the OP.) It’s surprising and unfortunate how rude and disrespectful the community’s tone can be, as if we’re not speaking to other human beings. We should work on that…
Beep Boop Beep errr cough cough yes yes us humans need to care for feelings and stuff of others.
During the 12hr+ maintenance we had before, I was reading the stuff you were posting about the roll back and I couldn’t agree more. I mean, take Ragnarok Online for example (since a lot of people around here are familiar with the game), when situations regarding peculiar drop rates or duping of items occurred, it was dealt with by rolling back the server and it worked.
Yes, granted it makes for some disgruntled people, but in the long term it’s the most efficient solution that’s 100% fail safe with no innocent people getting caught in the cross fire, like they have now and weren’t even aware of the peculiar drop rates.
But alas, here we are regardless.
