Good morning, evening, and afternoon to those of you all around the world. I told myself I would try not to make a thread about the Cash Shop and the paywalls and such, but I ran into something that made me want to speak my piece. Or was it peace? Whichever.
Firstly, because context is lost in computer text, I want to make this clear: this is not a complaint thread. We have enough of those going right now. This is, rather, an attempt on my part to maybe open the eyes of IMC just a little bit.
Before I discovered that the ability to purchase TP without having to resort to Founder’s Packs was not yet implemented, I decided that I wanted to get a cosmetic. Not just any cosmetic, but a premium cosmetic. However, I ran out of luck when I discovered that I, indeed, would have had to purchase another Founder’s Pack to get the extra TP required for the premium cosmetic.
IMC, you guys created a paywall to, as far as I know, sort of deter the Real Money Trade bots. Because of that paywall, hardly anybody is/will be willing to fork over the money to perform an action as basic as… trading. Myself, included. However, I was ready to throw a big, fat twenty dollar bill in your faces for that cosmetic hairstyle.
I even went and searched for a way to purchase TP, because I wanted that cosmetic.
I hope by this point you’re seeing what I’m getting at. If not, I’ll be frank.
IMC, the first thing I wanted to pay you money for was TP for a cosmetic. Not your token. Not your Founder’s Pack. I didn’t want to enable trading (I shouldn’t have to). I didn’t want to run a dungeon three more times. I wanted a cosmetic.
I’m fairly certain I’m not alone when I say, I was swayed, I was tempted to give you guys money to make my character look good.
Do you know what this means? Your fans here in the International side of this game don’t want to pay to be able to trade, or run more dungeons, or move faster, or gain more EXP.
Some of us, myself, definitely, have a nice wad of cash ready to throw at you… for cosmetics.
Please. Listen to your fans. Be wise, IMC. You have a responsibility now. Your game, Tree of Savior, has maybe 4 years+ of hype. You can make it shine.
Listen to your fans.
