I can play Mario without jumping too but that isn’t playing right
How much you know about the game to know party play is the only right way? How can you comparing solo leveling in ToS with playing Mario without jumping is beyond my comprehension.
Even on the blog, they say that they will make it so people who refer playing solo can also have their way.
Then the game has lost its identity as MMO.
Well I meant solo leveling. The game has a lot more to do than just leveling, isn’t it? If I prefer solo leveling, does it also mean I refer not meeting anyone, not going for PVP, not joining guilds, not partying for bosses or maybe sometime wandering around with friends?
Have you tried investing the cloth mastery? It does wonders for SP.

Playing Mario with jumping is not the correct way to play it.
Next you’re going to imply you can’t be wrong in an argument too.
Who are you to say playing to get to the objective is the right way to play it

This is getting hilariously away from the original topic as people just kind of piss at each other.
Some classes are better at solo than other classes.
If you want to play to do X with a class that is not as good as X as other classes, mayhaps you should do some research beforehand, we have a good amount of information available to us and in a game that is all about making your own build from a ton of different options, I think doing a little research beforehand is generally a good idea.
Simply jumping in the deep end and complaining that it is so deep is kind of silly.

You will not be able to later. Allowing solo players to get to a certain point at a reasonable rate is acceptable, but MMO should not be designed with solo progression in mind (or with only content progression in mind). You should always focus on group and world aspect because you are making a group game.
EXP gets gutted in party
Only if your party lead screws up exp distribution settings. You get a bonus from party play.
Skills and the synergy between them are the perfect example of how this game is designed for party play.

I didn’t get EXTREMELY far in this iCBT, but I did solo a Wizard->Cryo->Psycho to 58. Never bought any SP potions. I went full int, and my regular attack did more than enough to effectively grind in most areas a bit above my level. I saved my sp for Ice Wall for physical attack spam on it for easy AOE kills, and used Psycho skills to end bosses pretty quickly.
Maybe part of the issue of Wizard is SP regen needs to be reworked, but I can only go by what others have said since I stayed away from too much added Spirit and skill spamming.
I don’t know about you but the topic is clearly aiming at solo leveling. Everyone is talking about solo leveling, they didn’t talk about any other activity until I did in my preview post (because you suddenly bring the definition of MMO out of nowhere). What are you even talking about? 
I played Solo in most of my MMO’s Tanks is a good class for solo although Pots is your main factor.
In my Opinion if you like to Play Solo I would recommend playing as Cleric with 3:2 Con/SPR and always invest in your skill Attributes. Clerics Skills has the ability to Heal/Damage Player/Mob.
So Going Cleric>Cleric>Cleric
Fade is a good skill to remove aggro while regenerating HP/SP
and Planning to go Paladin>Pardoner>Pardoner
and Another Ideal for more DPS solo is to go Cleric>Krivis>Krivis for more DPS
and do 1:2 for Con/SPR
DPS Skills that you can spam is Heal>Cure>Zaibas
then Paladin>Pardoner>Pardoner
Skill>Indulgentia
You can drop skill then run drop and Run since all of them are Ground base Skills
Not a pro but based on my experience doing half way, i did just fine doing solo boss/mobs
since you can Tank/Heal/DPS

I can confirm that I can solo mob at high level in KR with my pyro skill. Playing all alone from level 50 up to level 181. At level 30 someone was invite me to full party and we killing mob in Tenet Chapel 1st floor till I reach level 50 (please note KR exp rate are different from EN and this happen before exp event start). When I’m solo at high level I’m dying too sometime but it’s not much problem for me. @_@
There’s a real dungeon in game where only party member can enter. Monster have higher HP and hit harder. This kind of place is where party play is important. For normal field grinding… party play help to killing stuff fast but some player can solo stuff fast too. It’s all depend on player if they want to solo or party play.

i went wizard > Cryomancer > Linker and still awesome at solos XD i basically just use link and energy bolt all the way~
Game may not be balanced in a manner to actually necessitate group play in CBT, but if this carries over to release then ToS loses its identity as MMO. MMO should be played WITH people, not AROUND them. If you can play an MMO solo then you are playing a solo RPG where you can see other people doing it too.
Who’s to say it’s not designed for me to be able to go kill things alone?
A good MMO would not be. I am hoping ToS will be a good MMO.
