IDP Trojan detected directly from Tree of Savior/Steam Folder

Just happened now. Is this something new that IMC updated/maintenance today…?

Am i the only one getting this…?

Why do so many people use AVG? It’s garbage.

It’s a false positive and your safe.Just Whitelist your entire Steam folder.

I’m not using AVG alone. Even Norton is detecting this.

That one too,in my opinion.Avast has never detected anything like that on my end.

But solution is still the same.

it’s free :confounded:

Haha but so is Avast.I would recommend Avast and Malwarebyte’s together over anything else.

You could technically pirate a paid for version of any anti-virus if you really wanted to.

I have norton and its clean , also scanned with Eset nod That too.

AVG AND Norton? You might as well toss out your HDD, it’s a virus according to those ■■■■ anti-virus programs.

Updated: Can’t get on Firefox, Chrome, or I.E. atm… so i assume it’s false report? o_O

P.S. logging on from the laptop atm.

Wonder if IMC is adding bot detection to ToS like ninjas… hmm. I mean why now, all the sudden, are people complaining about the game having a virus in it when there hasn’t been any new players in weeks?

Something had to have changed about the ToSexe, and it definitely isn’t IMC giving us viruses (Seriously, anyone who thinks IMC wants lawsuits and bankruptcy by sending us malicious viruses is braindead retarded and I won’t hear it.) Or Nortan and AVG have done something on their end that’s signalling false positives.

Guess we will see since there’s no proof right now that IMC has added anti-bot detection. Just switch to Avast. Avast doesn’t have problems with false positives for the most part and I’ve been using it for years.

Nope, nothing changed in TOS client, it’s just that AVG is updated yesterday

Since all AVG/Norton haters are here. I do rather keep things simple.

Anyone out there with AVG or Norton is experiences this problem?

I do not experience problems with norton security with back up.

yup, just add it to exception list

Why do you plebs even run active anti viruses to begin with. I’ve been running without an active anti-virus for years now and I’ve been fine all this time. Only thing I do is run malwarebytes from time to time to see if i messed up.

I’m gonna say something that’s gonna be offensive to a lot of people, but it’s a fact. No one is gonna “attack” and send you viruses you unless you happen to be that one special guy for some special reason, which honestly, you’re probably not. If you get a virus, it’s because you where stupid enough to download/click something that you shouldn’t have downloaded/clicked. As simple as that.

That’s like saying “Why do people say smoking can cause cancer? I’ve smoked for 80 years and i did not get lung cancer”.
Just because you haven’t been affected by viruses it does not mean others won’t be affected by viruses. Just because something doesn’t happen to you it does not mean that it won’t happen to anyone else.

Switch to Avast if you want free anti-virus, because AVG is just terrible. Piece of garbage felt more like an adware than anti-virus because of how frequently it’d tell me to upgrade.
