Ideas for Monk improvement!

I agree with this, however, double punch change to that really hurts…

In reality that is the skill that monk builds use the most.

I can see now if you get enough dex to fit 5 DP’s in the duration of strike debuffs, it can be beneficial…

I would imagine for diev/monk/inqui rotation would be something like that(I am talking for bosses mostly, since that is my focus):

drop pears > Maleus > 5x double Punch > 3x Carve Attack > God Finge Flick > Wheel > Palm Strike > One Inch Punch > Hand Knife > 5x Double Punch > 3x God Smash

drop pears > Maleus > Energy Blast? > Auto attack untill wheel is reset?

  • I am not sure I feel comfortable with that rotation…
  • It does not look AS BAD as i though it would look like, when I started writing it.
  • May be the change is due for that, since DP did do more damage then God Smash for the most part.
  • If IMC does end up pushing that way of it to production, it seems fair to how Pyro was changed, and how other classes were affected too.
  • Still not comfartable with the changes…

In other news Iron Skin gets attackspeed buff with DEX, which I dont get. LOL.
Hand Knife and Palm Strike as well(they probably get faster animation, but still…lol)

Yeah it doesn’t makes sense. Who wastes their skill points on Iron Skin?:laughing:

you can reflect other inquisitor’s pears with that… casting it makes it trigger, and when they hit you the other guy gets the damage… just saying a very niche PvP use… if you manage to land a maleus before he drops pears, that is a win a lot of times.

That nerf to Double Punch should be temporary, they cant just kill Monk like that o-o… Unless theyre doing something secret.

Perhaps the Double Punch does a looooooooot more damage now since it has a 5 OH and 10 seconds CD.

dp in this video has no cd.

I hope they don’t go through with that no 0cd dp. that fast dp looks really fun.

tos-ktest.neet now lists double punch as a 0 cd, no overheat skill again. So monks should be fine again.

The dex atk speed bonus seems only useful for pvp imo, I just don’t see a point for it in pve when stamina is still the main limiting factor for how often you can use it.

Full Dex + 8 Ella for maximum fun.

In reality, I’ll probably make it 2:1 Dex/Str for accuracy.

From what I see, it seems like the best way would be either Full Dex with glass mole (given that we figure out how to get ~73% crit rate), or Str:Dex 2:1 with Glass mole again.

Glassmoles will outperform Ella’s just because of how high attack numbers are going to be with that patch. and it is a % on top of % so that should be very strong

I just want it to go faster. The damage will be absolute ■■■■ but I’ll be having fun.

Edit: Actually, the damage won’t be that horrible since most of the damage you’ll be doing comes from weapons after the patch.

right now on iToS. I can dish out about 17-20k a hit with DP with +11 vinezaris stage 5. 85% attribute. that is on leather with no modifier or buffs/debuffs

Double punch becomes % base instead of 425 flat damage, considering only that and weapon damage increase, i will be doing WAY more damage under new system

Hello everyone, I’m new to the game and I want to build a monk focused on pvp. I do not know much about the cleric classes and I would like you to help me with the construction or the best option that I can choose, beforehand many thanks and blessings guys. <3 :slight_smile:

Monk is not the best at pvp… With that in mind.
C2 is must for safety zone n heals.
Rank 3 and 4 you have options. You can either make a priest2 for revive and buffs+resurrecting, or diev for slow statue and silence. After that monk.

Either you want to go all the way out not. Monk 3 is what i have. I love it. However you can do monk 2 and pick PD for is utility. And go inquisitor for rank 8.

Rank 8 is a must inquisitor for pvp

I understand, thank you very much for your advice, I also see that the monk class in a new update comes with many buff. What worries me about creating a build is that tbn changes are coming in stat and several things, and as I mentioned, I do not know much, I’m still adapting.
