I Wanted To Like This Game

This post is grreaat! Hippolirious funny and accurate rants throughout!

Thanks for making me laugh at work!

I wanted to like this game too, but I joined right before the TP package fiasco. Since then, and after reading so many negative reviews and observations not only about IMC but the game, I have lost the will to invest any time into a character. I may have just dodged a bullet.

I loved the buy in shops back in cbt, it makes me feel the game alive and well. though really laggy at least it gives us an alternative to AH.

First off I’d like to thank you for posting this eye exam for me, I’m happy to say my eyes are still fine.

Secondly I am glad my problems in this game have less than one third of what you posted.

Thirdly congratulations on being a part of the general population.

The problem is you see all the problems and think it only applies to this game but reality is some of the problems you listed are in other games as well.

Quest:
Kill, Collect, Talk are the most generic type of quest you’ll see in every mmo. The quest and story isn’t the best but at least they offer something.

Endgame:
It really depends on what one considers endgame content to be which may or may not be enough for the player.

  • PvP
  • Dungeon
  • Raids
  • Improving on existing gear
  • Achivements
  • Role-Playing

The only one being raids which isn’t within the game. Role-playing which is manly community base so if you want that type of endgame you may have to create it your self.

Discourages Group Play?

  • Shout
I think this mostly depends on the person where I can see you loving this I however don’t care much for shout/server wide chat.
I’m not even sure if adding free shout talk would be great because the more people which talk the more it will become harder to see people messages and for them to see your replies.

  • Missing Loot
It’s awful when you die right before a boss dies however people I’ve meet do try to wait for you to run back before killing if they are able too. It would be nice if the loot was just auto added into the party members inventory if they are on a mission or dungeon.

  • Priest
The problem isn’t the skill as it’s a bug of not showing correctly where someone has died.

Chat Cooldown:
This would be wonderful to have in normal chat however I wouldn’t have it applied to party chat.

Solo:
You’re not going to ever have a great time trying to solo as a full support type class. It’s mostly always best to have a friend who can help you finish off the quest which mains in some type of DPS.

Costumes:
I really dislike the costumes however oddly some people has to like them because I’ve seen people wearing them. The upside is I don’t need to spend my TP on the outfits because I dislike them I can choose to spend it on other things or wait until other costumes are made.

Too much WoW questing at low levels. With only 2 dungeons for the first 100 levels and no level sync it’s hard to play with RL friends. Guild also requires lv 200+ so it’s inconvenient for us to chat in-game. They all eventually quit before reaching 100, saying this is a single player game and left for Overwatch where it’s easy to hop in anytime and be able to play with friends without being 20+ levels behind.

I enjoy and still play ToS. But it feels a bit lonely when everyone in my whatsapp friends group have quit and are all talking about Overwatch or CS:Go now.

I give a damn. (20 chars):expressionless:

Think about how great the merchant shop system would be.

Alchemists could actually make money by selling potions in grind zones or other places.

You can go afk and have a shop to sell stuff without losing silver to a draconian market place.

It’s what the game needs badly.

and who give damn abt you giving a damn?

Good concept but If that was implemented trust me ill be running around maps to find my guild warring factions and troll their alchemists esp in the grind zones =p

well, u said nobody gives a damn what OP feels.
I’m just replying u that that’s not true, although it should already be apparent from the many responses on this thread that agrees, to various extent, with what OP has written.

On RO, you may die, but your shop stayed up!

God I miss RO sometimes… Stares off into the distance.

I agree with a lot of whats said, but, hey. I still enjoy the game and hope they add more content and bug fixes as we go along. The game is new after all, change is gonna happen, as long as player’s keep giving feedback.

But Ro had PK =(… and then there is ā€œDead Branchā€ā€¦
How i miss the mayhem i cause back in those days…

They must have implemented that change at some point if you say it was there, because originally shops didnt stay up if the merchant died.

The official server I played on didn’t have open world PK, but I wouldn’t have minded it.

Dead branches though… /slur I have a secret wish that something like that will be implemented here. It was seriously such a simple concept but a lot of fun on RO. Everytime Katherine Keyron spawned and entire maps wiped I giggled wildly.

I agree with some of ur points but then the game is still new. As I intro to my friends… I had told them that either you bear with all the small issues and lack of endgame content, or you comeback to this game after few month or a year. This game really too big and too many stuffs that makes the staffs too busy to deal with. I never see an mmo offer so many classes and maps before. So I would just want to say that, guys, please appreciate what they have developed so far. The game content is so huge as initial release. Dont you think it is too harsh to keep post this kind of post? If you exclude CBT. This game just opened for like 1 month+ (DLC) and 2 weeks+ (F2P), and it offers up to rank 7 and up to lvl200+ contents. Tell me which games offered so much when it just opened for 2 weeks. Even dragon nest or blade&soul take so many months to have more to play. Did you played Dragon Nest after it opened for 2 weeks? It just 2 towns and dont even have a dungeon to play. Capped at 24 levels then 32 levels only start to have 1 or 2 dungeons. Can you see the difference? You guys demand too much man. Look at the kTOS content… they will slowly update to us after awhile. Stop complaining as they just finish settle the lag issues of the servers.

Yep, had to be back 4 years at least since it was implemented.

But yeah… i do agree to some of what OP brought up…as what @A1mighty brought up… everything is becoming somewhat dull even though that kinda expected from most grind games…we will just wait and see what events /GM interaction would they implement in the next coming week.Cause if this continues most will just ditch and leave the game for another. What will be left in the player base will most likely be the hardcore fans or people whom have close relationships with their ign friends they met(not really sure how to put it)…and bots.

oh yeah i used to play DN…(DNsea) during cbt… that 24 cap during cbt was hilarious XD…

Your not the only one =X…

Ohh…those poor poor… things…dropping like flies …esp when u spawn them in front of the entrance of low level maps

Evil Grin

bwahahhahah…
