I’m pretty fine with it. Even Token users only get 3 runs a day per character, so I’m fine with it and it isn’t a restriction really worth complaining about imo.

I find it really odd how restrictive this game is even with tokens. It feels more like a mobile game, having to pay to access anything and we can’t even do that.

At levels 200+ and levelling an alt, I can barely find time to finish all the dungeons/missions/dailies/Saalus runs… let alone find time to continue exploring + grind in evac/storage. The number of runs is just nice.
Not to mention so many additional “once a day chance for pretty headgear” maps.
So many things to do so little time.
I think this is intentional, so that the basement dwellers who play this 24/7, do not and can not spam dungeons to get all of the everything. I maybe wrong, but that’s my conclusion.
Yeh… atleast back in the day you could be sure that spending time in a game was very rewarding… Those who spend more time had mose stuff.
I think 2 Runs per day really is a bit low. To restrict them is sort of okay but only 2…

Just make an alt or 2 - you can do just dungeons/missions/dailies on one char and move to another. Or you can just farm for rare ingredients/eq/recipes in regular maps and sell it on the market later. I don’t see a problem there …
Back in the day people thought of creative things to do ingames, or PVP’d their brains out; they didnt run dungeons mindlessly for half a day.

I’m curious though, does anyone know of any other MMO that came out in past few years and also have 2-3 dungeon entries globally rather than per dungeon? At least one example? Personally I can’t remember any MMO that would do that, but then I mostly played high budget projects.
None I can think of recently. I know there are some with limited instances.
There are worse situations than limited dungeon runs though.
For example. Neverwinter removed half their dungeons, saying they were “revamping them” well it’s been almost a year with half the dungeons missing and they nerfed everything as far as drops go in that game.
PWE/Cryptic did the exact opposite of this game. Very little was restricted and bots/RMTers destroyed the economy. Then PWE/Cryptic nerfed whole bunch of things to “fight” botters/rmters; year or so and continually after release.
There are also other versions. Where you can run dungeons/instances forever if you wanted, but most things are bind on pickup to char or account; so there is little incentive other than to improve your own characters. AH barons dont like that.
If I remember correctly in CBT it wasn’t like this. You have limits per dungeon.

Yup, that’s precisely what I’d love to have right now. I would LOVE to be able to actually run the other level 100 missions… And help some of my low level buddies on their level 50’s. Unfortunately people will ever only play the first one… Cause, you know, it’s faster to queue up for it.
Even thou I agree with limitations I do think they are being really extreme with only 2 global dungeons.
ALSO if the f**king queue worked as a 2~4 man party, it’d be fine. But it does not. Most of the times you’ll queue together with your buddy and wait for 5+ minutes just to be thrown into different dungeon parties. They REALLY should fix this. The game has already very little group content incentives. To have one of them crappy like that is sad.
I was also pretty disappointed when i noticed that it’s only 3 instance entries per day total, instead of 3 entries per instance per day.
I can’t really think of any other MMORPG that gives players a global limit for total instance entries. Heck, even Ragnarok Online didn’t have that kind of limitation, and that’s a game that didn’t even have instances for most of it’s lifetime.
That argument would only work if players had only a limited amount of gametime for everything until they were no longer able to gain anything on that day. So you’re saying you’re against people running more than 3 instances per day per char because they’d gain too much stuff (silver, equip) but you’re not against people grinding 24/7 in the open world, who are also gaining silver and equip?

i’m pretty sure even the first MMORPGs that featured dungeons or even instances did not give you a total limit about how much you are allowed to enjoy dungeons or instances but rather, if there was a limit, made it a per-instnace limit. I didn’t play Ultima Online, but did it have any upper entry limit that you were allowed to enter dungeons? I don’t think so. In Ragnarok Online we were able to go into dungeons and grind for 12+ hours a time without any limit and nobody cried “but you should be more creative Q.Q go pvp”.
Curious : Why are you so focussed on wanting to tell others what game features they should be allowed to enjoy more often per day?
Also, if your main argument is “people should be more creative, go pvp your brains out”, why then is there no total pvp/duel limit per day? Be more creative, do something ther than just pvp all day;)
You’re justifying your argument because you like to pvp or other non-instance features more, however just because you like these other features more it does not mean that this applies to everyone else.

In CBT you had a dungeon Limit of 5. 5 PER dungeon, not 5 for all!!
SO: I could farm Cards with boss rusch (50dun x5, 90dun x5, 130dun x5) with my little Sorcerer.
I often just used up 3-4 runs on ONE dungeon, after that I had no more interesst in doing so (Dungeons are long…)
But at least: I COULD have done more/other dungeons if I wanted to…
It should be restrikted. But not 2/3 for ALL. I think even Korea has more runs than we have…
They did it so they dont need to upgrade the garbage instance servers for the dungeons.imc dont fix big problems they restrict things so the problem will “go”.
