I need some suggestions on what i am going to do with an C3 Ranger

I came back recently and from the chars i had available, one of them is a Archer1, Ranger3. Originally, this guy was going to be a Fletcher, but i heard that they are not efficient in the current meta, so i looked up on what to do with him. Of the builds i found, three were a combination with Schwarze Reiter, or more precisily:

Archer2->Ranger3->Schwarzer Reiter3
Archer1->Ranger3->Appraiser->Schwarzer Reiter3
Archer2->Ranger2->Appraiser->Schwarzer Reiter3

I can see why the last combo might be the strongest, since Appraisers powerful abilitys are combined with crit rate from swift step and 10 levels into steady shot, but i would need to remake my char. Alternative, i could make an:

Archer1->Ranger3->Rogue2->Falconer1->Hackabell1

So, let me hear your opinions, please.

What’s the purpose of the char? Main or farming/dungeon slave?

I have an a2 > r2 > Appr > SR3, which I find very good. However Appraiser is not that mandatory, you can easily go a2 > r3 and won’t lose anything.

I just want to know how the above three Schwarzer Reiter builds compare. If the third version is good enough, im willing to make a new char for it. To be fair, i originally just wanted to have an Schwarzer Reiter, but my old Schwarzer Reiter is in an old and weak build with Quarrel shooter.

Ok, I haven’t articulate enough :slight_smile:
My question about the purpose is to let you save time. If the purpose of the char is to create a dungeon or farming slave any of the above builds is fine. You’ll mostly use SR skills and the rest of the build is not that important.

On the other side, if you’re building a main char there are some differences.
In my case I played with R3 till the update and switched to R2 > Appr and my feeling is that both builds are very similar.
Spiral Arrow can be compared to Blindside damage wise and Overestimate seems on par with a stronger Steady Aim/Barrage. This could be different on high end gear (if you can take an Aspana to +18 and bumping it to +21 with Overestimate).
I still have to try Devaluation since I’m busy farming the Aspana :smiley:

I have no experience with a1 build, though :frowning:

Ah you mean that appraiser is only worth it if i go endgame. Makes sense.

either ranger3app, ranger3archer2, ranger2archer2app are fine

reiter is very effective class

build isn’t big factor, pistol is

if u want to beat solmeme, u’ll need aspana (which easily farming nowaday)

Dude, go buy the Ranger C3 Costume NOW, thats the coolest benefit of being a Ranger3.

On a more serious matter i’ve mixed and mixed my archers so much during balance event that i noticed that archer early choices end up almost irrelevant, its a choice between Swit Step, Steady/Barrage, Rapid Fire, wich except with rapid fire they mix well on anything.
