I know we're all hyped and all that but

It just doesn’t make sense, as this was no different in iCBT2. I did several stat reset tests on a couple of wizards. My auto attack damage increased with more INT -> matk increasing, and spell damage was effected just the same. ( I also had a wizard in kTest before iCBT2, and it was no different, except for the bonus +10% per rank to INT hadn’t been implemented yet ).

A Necro +sorc can summon 5 skellingtons, 1 shogoth, 1 demon and 1 salamion. So actually, at least 8.

I don’t know much how other classes work… I played Pally.

Just hoping for thee game to work, even if it is linear and all, it is still pretty fun and at least hat’s what i’m looking for… for now.

Some people complain about the game being linear, but which game is not linear? D3, RO, Torchlight 1 and 2.

What i think they call linear game play is the fact that the maps are like paths instead of the wide maps you see on the games i listed up, other than that, it is the same thing.

I agree with you, the game is fun, it still missing lots of stuff, have lots of potential and i am waiting patiently for IMC do a good job, if not, once i get tired of it i will move on, other thing is, playing alone is freaking boring, but when you play with friends the game become more fun.

I already stated this on other thread, if you are bored of the questing, go grind, if you dont want to grind either, go explore, you don’t feel like moving around too much, call out someone who is doing nothing and chat, and if everything above don’t please you at that given moment, go walk outside or watch TV or w/e.

It is us who make the game fun or not, but as i said, this game in particular have much to be done, why we don’t have much content? Probably because IMC still need to test a bunch of stuff for the rest of the levels we didn’t get yet, but i am sure as soon that is done they will start adding content on the game, otherwise it will be a huge empty world.

It’s just that many people don’t seem to understand the BETA aspect of what was stated and showcased in the last iCBT, which is funny since I’m willing to bet not many of the people that keep complaining didn’t actually give any sort of feedback to the developers other than 'it wasn’t fun, too much wate…err linear".

Ahh, most of these complains came from the RO fans, they want the maps to be like RO, but this is not RO, neither a sucessor, even tho they say they know that, they want to transform the game in a RO clone.

One thing i suggested long time ago, and GGG added something similar to PoE is a puzzle, there is lots of space on the maps for that, well i do hope they add something like that in the future.

I’m not really agreing with you here. Why do you think they need redesign? Because they deal less damage than others? Because they are weaker in pve? or pvp?
Those are supposed to be Utility classes in the first place. Doesn’t utility imply that those classes will get lot more situational skills than other classes.

Sure at the moment they lack a situation where they could shine.
But if we imagine we will get an end game like war of emperium one day, doesn’t rodelero with it’s mass group CC and tankiness sounds good to get in a frontline to break a siege.
Doesn’t scout cloacking sounds really usefull to “scout?” Also Undistance could allow you to hit those ranged people or increase your already ranged defense.

I feel like we’re crying too much over things while being too shortsighted. I don’t think korean version already explored every possibilities yet and yet to come.

Build me up a strawman and tear it down.

If your purpose is to counter yourself it doesn’t make sense. And if your enemy don’t take QS, he maybe took Sapper, an Archer class which do not give a ■■■■ against QS (Sapper C2 beats QS C3 for exemple). And Archers are able to use a dagger, which is really good on a Rogue.

By the way I was more disapointed about the fact that there are too much magic spells in this game, even for monsters.

dont wanna sound rude but in terms of imbalance - you got everything in your hands - you are creating your own imbalance xDDD if your char is bad its not because of imbalance - lets say you go triple chrono and triple linker and wonder why others dealing more dps xD cant call that “imbalance” you just needa find ways to make builds work the way you want it…and they will work - always pulling the imbalance card doesn work

Actually sapper2 won’t be able to do anything to QS3 in PvP.

And it counters any class that relies on [missile] attacks. It even puts walls on the battlefield. Why the f*ck you need archer that counters swordsman? You already have an advantage in range, and should rely on your frontline to block enemy frontline. While QS passive protects you from back line.

At least 70% of Rogue abilities are missile anyway, so it still counters Rogue.

Or do you want peltasta with snipe?


I can’t go triple chrono + triple linker sadly. Otherwise it’d be best class in the game.

Anyway, there ARE classes weak in every aspect(like Pardoner C3). And there ARE classes that have some strength but not enough to compete with stronger classes (Rodelero for example).

Yet I agree that complaining only because you can’t learn how to use something POWERFUL is a wrong way of doing things.

you cannot compare pardoner to a “normal” class tho thats like saying “hey my alche is weak i wanna combo down bosses in 10 seconds with it” xD theyre just set into a higher circle so you get the feeling of “needing to work for it” otherwise everybody would have an alche in 30 minutes and thatll ruin the game…people gonna be lazy to lv up an alche for themselfs and simply ask a friend or w/e
also we got some anti pvp pve guys who dont even wanna do anything else but fighting for the market - becoming richest in game etc etc for them a pardoner is a cool class to enjoy…something wich “normal” guys cant understand xD or people wich train an oracle just for the sake of running around and morphing stuff or checking items

You forgot that you can’t give money to other characters. And Alche has much more crafting capabilities and equipment enchantments then Pardoner. Also every Circle of Alche gives you useful skills.
But pardoner is downright bad.
Oracle is underpowered right now but it has some sort of utility at least.

makes it sound like youre forced to play as a pardoner for your entire life…you cant compare that its like saying “how unfair that a smith got more tools than a wever”

you can have both and enjoy both where is the prob? nobody tells you to main those as your lifetime character

Yep, I agree. Just saying it would be nice if it was rewardable at least to some extent to play pardoner/alch as a main character. But abilities like indulgencia/decatose are really bad (though indulgentia has interesting mechanic but poorly implemented). So you are taking class ONLY for scroll shop. And it doesn’t bring you anything because you can’t spen this money elsewhere (aside from upgrading pet). I’m OK with the idea of non-sharable money, but I would like such classes to have late game potential for themselves (so they would be weaker then comparable classes but still useful in some cases). This mechanic is implemented pretty well with Discerning Evil and Magic Def buff, but they are already good at level 1 so no reason to go further. If they at least changed Decatose to be more useful, Pardoner would’ve been much better class overall.

Right now it’s antifun, because it doesn’t bring you any personal profit and yet it’s obligatory to have some Pardoners to use in guilds, because some scrolls like Diano and Barrier are simply too good.

It’s only my personal opinion, but I really don’t like this mechanic.

What’s the hate on Pardoners? They’re actually a really good class, especially in PvP. Indulgentia cures your party of status effects, it’s pretty useful. Discerning Evil needs points to be really amazing, as with DE level 10 you can keep almost any debuff up permanently. And DE isn’t even resistable, so once the buff has landed you’re just guaranteed to have it at 100% uptime. There are some really nice combos that work well with this, increasing your party’s DPS significantly. Increase Magic DEF also works really well in PvP, because of how DEF is applied before multipliers.

What is an issue is that you can’t trade silvers to your other characters, and trading an item to your other character drops its potential. I don’t understand why inter-account transfer has to be so difficult, and why it can’t just be a simple storage system.

That’s why I said that C1 is good(even great) but not more. Because PD does all of this much better. And lvl 6 DE is more tgen enough for most debuffs(that won’t work vs PD anyway).

I agree with the issue, if there were no problems with interaccount traiding pardoner C3 would be good and even great. But if they plan it as mid fighter class with passive income then it’s bad. And C3 never worth it.

Maybe IMC just don’t like the idea of must have farmer class to be effective, so they make idle classes as alternative for idle money with lower fighting potential. And I like this idea. But now it needs some improvements.

Yes… ofc. You see a QS and you spam your missile abilites anyway. This is a waste of time to talk with you if you are unable to understand something so obvious when you write it… Maybe use the 30% else ?

Still wasn’t talking about that but you seem to be focused on Swordman, what the hell ?

Is Discerning evil ranged? If it had some ranged aoe or even ranged I could see it being useful.
