I know we're all hyped and all that but

For those who were able to play during ICBT2, there were a lot of us who were pretty much disappointed about how this game was so linear and felt there were a lot of class imbalances.

I know we’re all hyped but if the gameplay is still the same, I don’t know if it will hold our excitement for the next couple of months after the OBT launches. I’m still hoping that IMC listened to the players feedback during ICBT cause a lot of them has a strong point that will make or break this game. If those concerns weren’t addressed, I’m afraid that another potentially great game will be wasted.

What are your thoughts about it?

You are wrong, Hype train now just got derail and go all over the place with no common sense of direction at all. The last time I check it’s become a boat and currently aground here

Kanser03 Im sorry but i need to disagree with everything you said, I played all
closed beta test and I can say the game is very f****kng nice, we are not disappointed and if you dont like the game just dont play :slight_smile: , about the class imbalances I think like that, Im noob and I cant make one nice build and cant play cool just like that, exists good and bad players and if you are bad you still believe the game is imbalanced, anyway the game need some nerfs. You asked for opinions right :smiley: .

The game still needs more polishing content-wise (Especially what they did with cutting down Quests in the 200’s; Grinding needs to be more dynamic if they expect people to have fun doing it in this game), but it’s certainly better than what it was in iCBT2. Whether that ‘certainly better’ is good enough to keep a person playing until max level is up to them.

i love how some ppl talk about class unbalance because some classes are much better than others for certain things like pvp, pve, boss fights, aoe, etc.

I mean ofc there are things to fix, but trying to make that every class combination be as good as every other thing for every aspect of the game IS NOT REAL.

No game can acomplish that, even less with the amount of combinations you have here. UNDERSTAND THAT AND MOVE ON.

All base clases have at least 1-2 pvp builds, 1-2 farm builds, 1-2 dps builds, etc. Yeah, some classes may not be able to do the same dps as other even with the optimal dps combination, well that can be fixed, but you cant make every combination perfect for everything.

7… When a characters summons a monster and it has low health, It has been changed so that it doesn’t look for heal tiles.
Applies to:
- Sorcerer: Summoning:Familiar, Salamion, Servant
- Necromancer: Shoggoth, Skeleton Soldiers
- Bokor: Zombies

Mrw everytime I check a patch-note and see that IMC, in some way, nerf’d Bokors:

i heard alot of complaints about summons prioritizing Heal Tiles over attacking enemies

do you know how annoying it is for a healer to have all the heal he drop get wasted by summons you can just get back with the click of a button…

B-But, they only did it when their HP got low!
And this enabled dynamic (lazy) gameplay by allowing summons to recover their own HP when needed, and then go back to attacking enemies! Those healers need to stop being stingy!! ):<

now, what is the max # of summons of all classes…

:\ now tell me why is that party remember insulting that other party member after he died cause a summon took the tiles he needed and now have to pay for res or leave…

Another thing i want to say is that i read a lot of post of ppl complaining about IMC not listening to fans and doing nothing for the game… i found that to be the most ridiculous and so far from the truth thing that mad players say about game devs.

Since the first beta i heard about, i saw they added many control schemes (Mouse click mode, WASD movement, etc.) which imo is AMAZING, made changes to clases so you can choose and pick whichever you want that before you coudnt (this changes balance a lot, which makes them re-think all their plans), mounting, a lot of balance improvements, a ■■■■ ton of content like Earth Tower, pvp (yeah is not polished, but at least WE HAVE IT), and a lot of other really cool changes. Just because the devs havent addressed what YOU want (or what you want now) yet doesnt mean they dont care or that they are not working on it.

For example, been able to move with WASD and aim with mouse was for me almost game breaking. It was one of those features that for me are super important and… they added it, now you have 3-4 control schemes to choose from… thats 2-3 times more options than basically any other mmo have.

As a game developer myself, i can tell you that this things take time, a LOT of time, much more that what we are used to (because ppl is used to massive companies like Blizzard), they dont have 300 employees working on this.

Im not trying to be a fanboy, just telling you that ITS OBVIOUS that they are actively working on improving the game (you can see that kTOS receives a patch like every f***ing week, even if you are not getting what you want or they make some mistakes). If you really like the game as many of you state, you need to be patience and stop comparing it to games that have 10 years of development and updates, because theres NO game that have 10 years of content, quality of life features, etc. at BETA!!!

Thats all i have to say, i know it wont make any difference for you, but i hope other readers less bias get a new perspective from this.

I think the same as you Hellkrasher, all classes are good, it depends the way what you choose (PVP), (PVE), my example: Alot player saying the Cataphract is a weak and bad class in game etc etc, if I remenber after get lv200 only one guy beat me in 1x1 pvp, I heard this in all my levels progress that class Cataphract are imbalanced and weak, uhashdauhdhaha its so funny…make me laught hard, principally about barbarians

I think the problem is adaptability, the amount of crappy developers through the years been so intense that people adapted and stayed deep in the crap of things…

you repeat something so long that it becomes second nature…

I think the best thing for us is too now realize, this game isn’t coming out anytime soon. It’s time for us to go our seperate ways, and wait in peace elsewhere. Thats what its time for me to do. Once the hype dies down some ill step back to blade and soul.
