I think 50/50 mixed reviews is still appropriate. They are making progress but they still have alot of things they need to change.
Canāt be done. I can give you at least one MMO which has no trading, but you donāt pay money to be special. Black Desert Online.
I got one for ya: Phantasy Star Online 2. Yes, only Premium members can *directly trade amongst each other. You can still use the Visiphone (the gameās Auction House) to buy things, but direct trading isnāt.
Ug yea they ruined the ā ā ā ā out of the game.
You have to pay 30$ just to play so itās not free, like GW2. At least you can play TOS for free.
Yes but itās not like I am paying extra money to have a very social and basic feature. It is with the base game. I do not have to pay $18 a month to trade. I paid for the game once and thatās over. There are not players who cannot trade. Big difference.
yes, because you want to know why?
this game isnāt a socialable game at all; if you want to get your friend playing this game, they would obviously want you to help them.
and the restrictions prevents you from helping them.
See where iām getting at?
Itās not just because of the marketplace, itās that and the trade.
Well they were smart enough not to cause themself a storm by releasing it in the west werenāt they?
This, precisely this, this is what I have been saying in multiple threads now. I really hope more people realize this and will propagate just how illogical it is to not have trading how we could have since it is not hindering the silver sellers much. And yep economy will still be a problem because like I said IMC still will want you to pay cash for their exclusive items, which is fine, just let us tradeā¦people will still buy plenty of your stuff and support you IMCā¦
How about playing when them? Thats much more sociable then just giving them stuff.
How about games where the entire game is behind a paywall?
ESO - content behind paywall
WOW - game behind paywall, i think they made it free for the first 60 levels or something? idk, but thats a ton of content behind a paywall.
Any game that requires a subscription.
This game, all the content is free, but some features you can pay OR get it for free with silver.
I actually give the game a thumbs up and am continually recommending the game to my friends. Iām merely voicing my concern, because like you, I also want whatās best for the game. Silly to think otherwise - why else would I advocate for a better means for IMC to fight RMT than what they currently have.
Iām already playing with 3 friends that are the same level as me, I canāt split myself into 2 and play with 2 different group of people.
But i could have at least given them stuff if the trade system isnāt so dumb; canāt even trade pots.
I bought the most expansive DLC pack. I did not expect the best MMO ever, but being able to freely trade and to freely storage my items across different characters isnāt even expectations, itās just the basic of any MMO that has something even remotely related to commerce, crafting, etc.
I love the game as a whole, but all the trading and storage restrictions are so bad I honestly regret paying money for this game.
this game isnāt a socialable game at all;
Iām already playing with 3 friends
Not sociable at all huh?
Itās not socialable because youāre restricted to the people in your party.
My boyfriend tryed to help me to make that goat horn.
But he cant give it to me cause weāre not āāVIPāā players. Rly? Need to be VIP PLAYER to do a surprise to your friend/Girlfriend/Boyfriend/Bros and Sis?
This is so cold, the idea of āāPay to Tradeāā sounds so ridiculous to me.
Other thing is to use the Team Warehouseā¦ Weeew this one too makes me want to cryā¦
I agree that the server is doing a lot better now, but I will wait until my head stops spazzing around all over the place when I walk diagonally before giving them the thumbs upā¦ its probably the most annoying this in this game.
āstormā
Tbh, the trade thing was added in much later: There was initially no way of trading and if you wanted your dream weapon & gear you had to craft or farm your EQs. As for why it never came to the West, nobody knows. Conspiracy theories run amok, since Sega West did bounce the date back then ultimately stop saying it.
i knowā¦ it was kind of a jokeā¦ expecially since it could actually be true that they decided not to bring it to the west because they knew that that kind of system would just give them problems with the entire playerbase
