is it just me or anyone else also cant change their forums name. also the pictures why is it that others can have pictures? I can’t upload mine. is it the trust level? WHY!!!

Never did, I wanted to put Nirimetus but i can’t lol.
It came from my gmail account.
It actually used to have it during the first week or so when the forum just launched, but obviously it’s now removed.
Perhaps it wouldn’t hurt to consider sending a message to STAFF_John or STAFF_Ethan for a name change.

Profile settings should be two icons to the right from search icon. Then click the cogwheel. (yeah, it looks invisible when the picture isnt self chosen)
That may be the case, but if they did to 1 person, they will had to deal with many after, and depending on the situation they may not do at all lol, but it should be available again.
so yeah. I changed my name. STAFF_John is awesome.

@Kiyoshiro is right,although I think the option was available longer.I joined last July and was still able to change my name myself without assistance.I read about people not being able to shortly after and onwards,though.

Yeah, i’m stuck with my gmail name too, wich was too long and the last letter was left off the nickname e.e
But, actually, i never even tried to change it, lol
Oh, STAFF_John is pretty damn fast at reading PM’s. It took him less than 4 mins to change my nickname.

I might had missed by 1 or 2 days because when i saw my forum name the same as my gmail/fb account (i think i registered with FB) first thing i tried was change the name.
I will try to PM one of the staff then, i really want to change my name lol.
Staff John senpai is the most active and dependable staff in this forum, you see.
But I have a feeling that Staff Ethan will also steal my heart if he keeps up his good work.

I know tis already waaaaay to late for a reply, but it may be useful for others who have the same issue.
As you already know, tis possible to change the forum name by contacting a Staff member. However, the truth is, we can freely change our usernames during a 24h period after registering to the forums for the first time, and before iCBT2, that time would be something around a week or so. The Edit option will be there, but once the period expires tis gone.
Back when I got myself here, I too fell for the trap of using, lets say, the wrong method, so I had my gmail name being displayed, so like every normal girl, I panicked. I did some research and finally found about contacting a Staff member could solve my problem and thankfully, Staff_Shawn did it.
Now if youre still wondering why they removed/limited the feature, twas something to do with the possibility of broken links, threads, posts or name citations, as the influx of new players was insane (I recall seeing the counter displaying 149,000+ in the final day of iCBT2 registration window; could be more).
I hope this can help others in the future and if this information is in any way wrong, Id like to know, since tis based in my experience with what happened, and Id gladly change it if needed.

I will contact someone soon, tbh for me is not really a big deal the name as it is actually, it is my IRL nickname anyway (My name is Fernando so it just take off the FER part and leave the NANDO, pretty simple lol) but i might change to my gamer nickname later on.

Ah ha, yeah generally my family call me Nando, and a few friends, but most decide to call me Fer LOL, but it sound so feminine, i don’t mind but its weird when i hear it lol.
