I appreciate what IMC has done!

Hello Tree of Savior community.

I really appreciate the hard work IMC has done the last few weeks. They gave us several answers, fixed some bugs, created some new, listened to us even when the problems where small.

However they didn’t fixed all the problems, didn’t respond to all our hopes and wishes… AND THATS FINE. God dammit guys, please realise that actual people are behind a company name. And you bash them even for their hard effort. It even started before the game was even released. IMC wanted a headstart of 3 months, we didn’t like that and they gave us an alternative even knowing they lose like 2 months of time of fixing game related stuff before the release (which means they have to work more). We want server. They give us server! And what are we doing? Bashing them for not being able to play a game for 24h which apparently we don’t like (stupid?!). Do you even realise that the 24h maintenance also means a 24h work shift for some staff members? What would you say if you had to work 24h only to get yelled at what you are doing all wrong?!

Feedback is important. No point denying that. But destructive feedback is poison. People like IMC_Julie might leave because of this poison (only speculation, i don’t know her reasons, but that has happend before and will happen again). Also who on earth gives you the right to demand anything from this game? Posts like THIS HAS TO BE DONE THIS WAY NOW NOW NOW NOW are just stupid. Nothing has to be done immediately just because you think it has to be done. And many more things even can’t be done that quick! Imagine just a possibility: they want their game to be good too, just because of being proud of their work?! But things need time. If you don’t have time and/or can’t wait. Nothing keeps you to this game. You can come back in half a year or never. Nobody cares. This game is not here to please the very you. So many may like it, you many may not but that is ok. There is a reason there are several games on the market. And if you had hopes for the game which won’t fulfill, thats your problem and not a problem of the game! People need to accept this fact.

So this is maybe a unpopular opinion and kind of an rant. But it needed to get out.

This is business for them, we are paying customers. If the product is bad, we have the right to complain.

Plus, you also have any right to thank IMC for whatever reason you feel like.

Don’t get me wrong, there is obviously a lot of work to be done, but can’t we be nice every once in a while :wink:

one of many issues that need to be fixed.

This is still a business. We’re the consumers giving them money, not the opposite.

They aren’t obliged to give you what you want, but you don’t need to give them money and play their game if you don’t like it the way it is. Most decent business actually seek their consumer feedback, because they know that satisfying their consumers means more profit, visibility, a better brand image, etc.

Of course people should try being more polite, but this idea that negative feedback shouldn’t be expressed isn’t helping anyone.

For what? For not listening to us or making mistakes like the SEA server thing now where they want to separate their community?

I should thank them being amatuers and not listening to the community and react lately and making chaos?

Thank them what? The launch where we all knew that we will need regional servers but they were smarter, so they did that during the EA?

Thank them lack of communication and the bad customer service? Fire the only member who was communicating with us?

This company doesn’t deserve anything. THEY HAVE TO THANK EVERYTHING TO US! The money, the backup and that we are with them even after those mistakes.

They try to dig their own grave so hard, yet will are still here.

They are learning from nothing! They are now doing the same thing they wanted to do at the start. So…why should I thank them anything? Pff…

@davidbase I agree 100% to your opinion.
Just be ready for the hate wave because a lot of people won’t like what you wrote and will try to hurt you with mean comments because that’s all they can do.

Most here can’t understand why IMC did things how they did.
Most think they know about business and everything.
They think they know how it feel to be at IMC’s position.
How to manage a company, yeah it’s easy right? of course not.

There’s been some controversy around during development of ToS but I can also see some very positive steps IMC has been taking lately.
Personally, I can see that they are trying to make this a good game and I have high respect for them for their hard work, courage with trying new ideas and approaches and respect for their players.

Keep up the great work IMC.
Believe in players who believe in you. I am certain there’s enough many of those around.
I hope you guys and girls will get some well deserved rest once ToS is past the OBT launch hurricane.
