Hunter Wugushi build?

Hi,

I need your honest opinion on my draft build:

Archer 2 > Hunter 2 > Wugushi 3 > Mergen 2

Reasons for the build:

  • Picked hunter for coursing and retrieve - might be good on PvP
  • Picked hunter so I can make use of my level 350+ penguin - by now, he just like a useless decoration as I walk LOL
  • Picked hunter coz Im the kind of player who don’t stick to meta and likes to do it “my way” as long as its viable :slight_smile:
  • Picked wugushi coz same as above
  • Picked wugushi coz its great for bossing(from what I’ve heard)
  • Picked wugushi to combo Hunter Coursing + Gu Pot + Jincan Gu on PVP
  • Picked hunter and wugushi coz My ping is high most of the time but not all of the time(SEA server problems) - I can do some damage even my reaction time is slow and delayed as long as I throw all my poison and command my pet.
  • Picked mergen coz what else can I pick? lol I can’t command my pet if I mount on it as a hackapell… And im not interested on BM - too many skills to rotate(as I mentioned, my ping is not always good) plus BM requires heavy investment on gears (already sold my kidney for my murmillo)

Wugushi looks fine but my problem is Hunter.
I ve read allot that hunters are bugged big time - but those are from old posts and its 2018 so Im not sure - need some REAL Hunter Advice.

If hunter is no good, can you suggest an alternative that centers on wugushi, not needing heavy investments and playable on high ping :slight_smile:

Not anymore, they both last half the duration they last agaisnt players, and each cast of both skills on a player reduces that duration further. A player becomes immune after the 3rd coursing or retrieve (they both execute the same kind of CC, so it is diminishing for both skills)

The duration goes like 2 seconds, to 1 second, to no seconds. I dunno if the game truly uses fractions of seconds, can’t really tell. Once a player becomes immune and you throw either coursing or retrive at they, the pet will break, since it cannot execute its skill and will remain trying until rush dog is issued, but the pet will most likely land in a broken state.

Anyway, hunter has decent single target damage, but this game never throws a single enemy at you.

At c2 you’d be ignoring the best skill hunter has: Growling, other than that rush dog would be your bread and butter as a hunter.

All the reports of buggy hunter hold true, the only major improvement there has been made since the old reports is: Skills now require a target, that’s it. Before, hunter skills were cast in a straight line infront of the companion, so they would attack the first thing to cross their path.

Other important things to happen to hunter was during the rebalance, but that holds true to all classes, and the inclusion of the /comeon command to force your companion to refresh its path finding.

There are work arounds to make the companion do what you want, but they’re not part of the original design, there are many flaws, way too many, those reports you read are true. There has been no attempt, not even one try at improving hunter’s AI.

Other than what @Composition told, mind explaining this ?
if its for def reduction then its too short lived for use. If its for crit chance then gu pot at least doesnt crit. I am unsure on jincan gu.
