someone here want to test if you can use hunter skill while riding the pet?
coursing + retreat shot?
You can use/initiate Coursing (Hunter skill) while mounted but get auto-unmounted upon use (similar to a Cata3 Dopel using Cyclone from mounted state). As it appears, you can mount the pet even if it’s still in the skill duration possibly allowing you to use other skills, even mounted-only ones (e.g. SR and Hackapell skills).
In the video, I did get unmounted when I tried to use Multishot since I don’t have a circle in SR nor Hackapell.
There’s risk in this combo though as your pet, while unmounted, could get disabled/kill-stunned by monsters (when in PVE) or other players (when in PVP) making you unable to mount it again for a few seconds, disabling your mounted-only skills for the duration.
Still, this could open up possibilities for non-meta/unique builds like “Hunter / Schwarzer Reiter” or “Hunter / Hackapell”. For example, have enemy chase you down to a wall, use Coursing, re-mount and use Retreat Shot = profit!
