Hunter Questions, help!

hey guys just some questions about hunter c3, how growling works on pvp? Hunter3 falc3 is ok for ET? Some prediction to updates on this class?

Growling doesn’t work agaisnt players.
Hunter 3 Falconer 3 is good for ET (is a great physical attack booster and it allows you to AFK some floors)
Growling is quite useful when going solo around the world.

Hunter was designed to make no sense since day 1 in this game, it is a single target oriented class, that would be fine if its skills worked on bosses, but they don’t. So, this leaves us as a “PvP” oriented class? maybe, it did kinda work well if you went past the pet bugs, if your pet held someone they’d be considered dead since teamwork never worked on this game and people ignored the hunter.

In the past in PvP hunter was able to hold someone for as long as they wanted, this due to the skill having a longer duration based on its level, so they decided to cut that duration in half when facing another player, this didn’t work since the skill still continued to last longer based on its level that you could make the CD of either skill reset before the other skill ran out.

Their response? make both skills have a fixed duration (this hit snatching too, goodbye snatching lv beyond 1, goodbye) but retain the halved duration business, now it is impossible to hold someone for an indefinetly long time.

State now? they added this CC resistant thingy, which is great, but they forgot hunter only has CC skills, the only one that doesn’t classify as one is rush dog. So hunter no longer can do anything at PvP if he doesn’t oneshot the enemy.

This leaves us with what could happen:

Since they’ve added this CC resistant thingy, they could make growling finally work agaisnt other players.
They HAVE to redesign both coursing, retrieve and snatching.

side note: retrieve & coursing were your main damage sources before the damage formula rework and they don’t work on bosses, still after the rework they don’t work on bosses, but rush dog is my main attack now, too much hassle to cast either coursing or retrieve, they often don’t work since I’m using mouse mode, and mouse mode suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks.

Bro, I was riding that train since day 1
All I did during pvp was stay invisible with scout, wait till I got close to a person, spawn my pet, and rush dog them to death. This was strong because rush dog wouldn’t take you out of invisibility…

RIP HUNTER!

I just feel bad for those that build a hunter thinking it is exactly the same as it was before.
I’ve seen plenty of hunters now a days, I just hope that they know what they’ve gotten themselves into.

Rush dog is on par to sonic strike so it is quite strong, if the pet wasn’t soooo dumb and unable to reach anyone until they stop… worst yet, this applies on PvE too…

Anyway, I remember that rush dog kept you invisible, does it still do that?

That was the main problem…

It un-cloaks you now, since it uses your damage. Funny thing is though, the aggro from rush dogs damage goes to the pet, even though your the source. Reflect will go to you though. :man_shrugging:

(I tested this stuff during the reset event, before deciding to get rid of scout, since it no longer had synergy with hunter. So the uncloaking may have been a bug.)

I find it funny though that hunter and falconer have the highest ceiling for damage potential out of all classes, but no one wants to invest in it. (me included)

With enemies as they are now, no wonder. It is wayyy slower compared to a schwarzer reiter.

If enemies had 2 million HP then hunter combined with falconer (or anything combined with falconer, really…) would be better (if there were the current weapons only)

Too much setup, schwarzer is just too quick…
But I still enjoy playing as a falconer since I’m doing what I wanted, hunter… it does nothing I thought it would do…

I took hunter to be a support, it doesn’t support outside of ET when enemies just explode when looked at, still it is a fun class. I truly hope they just ditch it entirely, keep growling and rebuild it.
