Hunter Class and companion

Just here saying this for someday get the real help this class need.

first of all why the companions cant have the same AI as a skelleton to finding enemies and that stuff they are very stupid and if u get a bit far away from the enemie and cast the skill the pet dont go or it goes and doesnt do anything then it gets buggued like it doesnt follow you u have to give him some food and wait the whole animation then it returns to its normal way it happens whit all the skills except as far i can see and test the SNATCHING looks like that one even if it doesnt get the enemie it doesnt get buggy .

another point the DAMAGe those skills really need a revamp in their damage so weak specially that almost any skill work in bosses EXCEPT SNATCHING ( if the boss enemie its a flying enemie) and the rush dog thats it the rest dont make the bosses suffer any kind of damage i understand u CANT MOVE A BOSS withc retrieve but at least deal the damage to it i dont know or simple REVAMP THAT CLASS that really need helps especialy with the AI of the companion cmon if they did a great jiob with summon classes why not a companion.

and the last skill growiling should afect the players in half time or at least reduce damage from player by 30% after the scream would be nice and helpfull just ideas

I have a Hunter3 Falconer and most of the time i only use my pet for cc and utility (Growling and Snatching). It is super effective in ET or CM, but for simple contents like daily dungeon or Saalus, the pet gives little to no use at all cause those are not long and challenging enough.

The class sure is bad, but since IMC wont lay a finger on it for now, i just try to treasure what it can provide.
Would be nice if they get rid of pet HP, for real.

as an old hunter player my thoughts on improvements needed:

  • bigger range

  • more responsive, reduce cast delay for Hunter skills so it flows better with combat

  • auto skills, something like the preemptive strike from Falconer. Again makes the gameplay much more smooth

  • rework his AI abilities like Pointing and Growling

  • change his buff “Praise” so it’s % based and not a flat value. The current values lack scaling and are actually VERY low

  • make it clear how much Hunter skills scale from your stats and from the companion stats

  • fix the companion ui so we can work on both a ground companion and a hawk at the same time.

I don’t know how viable it would be but I would love to see the AI abilities turn into stances like agressive and defensive. Make Growling a shorter duration cc and bring it to Hunter C2, then make Hunter C3 have 2-3 stances that work kinda like Falconner’s Pre-emptive Strike. I think it could be a toggle which consumes the companion’s stamina while enabled.

Maybe I’m going to far tho…
