How to register your Beta Key

Is there a NDA on the closed beta? I presume not, but I wanted to make sure.

Seriously? Only possible to test it with Steam installed? I can understand some of the reasons for that but there is one that I don’t and that is to force people to install it to try your beta – we, players, are doing you a favour by testing the game without paying a penny to us! –

Most MMOs don’t pay a single penny to beta testers because the players just throw themselves at the games, wanting to play them so badly that THEY would be ready to pay the developpers to play, so let’s not push greed there. It’s a shame if you don’t have Steam, but most people do have the program for conveniance.

Although I have Steam and use it frequently, it does surprise me that you can redeem the code and play it only on Steam, which is rather unnatural for most MMOs. Most of them I’ve played has a code redeeming section on the home website itself, like Blade & Soul’s Technical Alpha I’ve played recently. Why this odd decision? Is this closed beta meant to be tested specifically on the Steam version?

They said it will start from the 27th october at 3:00 AM (PDT). We still are the 23rd (At least where I’m at). From there on, it will be a 24/7 server until the 25th november at 23:00 PM (EST), beside during the maintenances every tuesdays from 1:00 AM to 5:00 AM…Although the timezone for the maintenance hours wasn’t specified in the e-mail to me.
