When I PvP on my mixed stat Archer I frequently miss players with full- or mostly-DEX builds until I land Feint. I’m wondering exactly how much evade they can get without being super geared so I can determine how many points to allocate in DEX without impinging too much on my CON (or STR).
If you PvP on an archer (pref level-capped or close to capped), would you mind sharing your evasion stat? I can land Feint easy once I Coursing people so that’s not much of a problem.
I pose a similar question to people with full-CON Chars who use shields. Is it feasible to get enough block pen through STR to have a decent chance at piercing your block stat? If not, how much would a yellow gem in gloves help?
I’m aware of that calculator, but thank you. I was more wondering how individual players and their stats actually turn out, as gear agnostic and likely out-of-date information is not all that useful in a practical environment. I can’t say what people who PvP typically use for gear, as I can’t check people’s gear while in TBL, and I also can’t check their stat distribution anywhere.
I currently am level 279 and have 613 accuracy. Using a pair of Virtov Leather Gloves I made yesterday, might look into getting a pair of the plate version if I decide the block pen would help more than the accuracy. My current stat distribution is 70 STR 150 CON 93 DEX (I’m a rogue and have Feint and Sneak Hit so I think I can go a bit light on the DEX?).
With my current stats I can hit people affected by Feint with no problem, and usually it’s not too bad even if they aren’t feinted as Coursing provides a ton of opportunity to lay on the damage even if some of my hits miss. I’ve been thinking of using one of my 3 Stat Reset Pots, and with a time-limited one coming up it seems like a no-brainer to use that one on this char.
Much harder than hitting high-DEX players is hitting a few of those full-CON clerics, though they might have Stoneskin on, I’m not sure. Is block vs block pen calculated the same way accuracy vs evasion is? If so, it’s prob possible to get a decent hit chance on people provided I invest some in STR and maybe get some gear to support it.
Additionally, is there consensus on the amount of HP you should have in TBL with r8 in the game? I know it was good to have 20k+ during r7; I have 24296 with my current gear. I don’t seem to die immediately to random skills, but I see lots of players with 40 or 50 or even 60k HP, and frankly, that seems like a insane amount. I haven’t gem’d or trans’d any of my gear, though, so maybe that would make a difference.

The reason why most archers dont spend so much on Dex is because you guys have inherently high evasion and high crit rate. Its only natural to think that way because its wise to min-max what ever you can squeeze. However thats only the case on PVE. PVP on the other hand will try to capitalize whatever your weakness is. Archers have buffs for crit rates and evasion but you guys dont have for accuracy. Thats the weakness of min-maxing your dex-str-con ratio. You still suffer from acute accuracy syndrome like most melee do. The higher our level gets(stat points) the farther you have to catch up on stats you are lacking in this case accuracy. You didnt spend dex while some extreme people will pump evasion like no tomorrow. Those people at higher level will get 3 evasion per stat point vs to your 1 accuracy per stat point, so the gap will only widen the higher our level cap gets.
“Main stats possess a hidden bonus where you are rewarded with more stat points when investing into a specific stat. The bonus stat given will raise exponentially as you further invest into the stat. For example, 100 points invested will actually give you a total of 123 points. 200 points invested will give you a total of 253 points, and so on.”
We will also get tradable blessed gem, it means you can afford to transcend your gloves if you think youre lacking on accuracy. You have more than 20 days to ponder what your final build is. I suggest to have an accuracy than can hit at least 70% of the time.
2 level 7 yellow gems on gloves I think will provide some decent block penetration. I rarely encounter people using stoneskin on TBL, meta already changed from priest3 to Diev3. Im not saying high block penetration is a waste but 400 block penetration on my part gets the job done. I dont know about the calculation for Block and block penetration if it is similar to evasion.
Transcended stage 4 weapons will be more common. Even if you spend so much on HP it will not make any difference. You also not there to 1 vs 5 them. I think people should be more focus on 1 specific role than be a jack of all trades. Archers have damage high damage you can pretty much 1 shot or 2 shot anyone given that you have stage 4 transcended weapon. 24k HP for an ancher is quite high already. For me you should focus more on Block penetration, accuracy and damage than pumping out HP too much.
Hitting 70% of the time would be ~300 less acc than evasion, right? Also Feint reduces evasion by 50%, so the gap isn’t that huge I guess? I guess the ideal 2-socket gloves would be Hasta Plate, but those drop from 330 world bosses IIRC so it might be a while till they’re obtainable by a scrub like me.
I also have 700 accuracy before, Im missing quite a lot against high evasion chars. I have 1k accuracy now, rarely missing so far. 900+ accuracy i think should be enough. Most high evasion players have 1.3k-1.5k. Yep, hasta is the best out there because of that additional socket. We will also get new white equips, they too have 2 sockets.
Full DEX fletcher 3 mergen: 9k5 HP, crit rate around 650 (mine is 710 due to gem and gears), eva is 900+ if using plate, 1k2-1k3 on leather set.
If you meet someone using shield and high CON, you need block penetration from virtov set or lolopanther set.
Just spent the last hour in 2v2 PvP, won prob 3-4 (5?) in a row before losing the last two of the night. Ended the hour a bit more than 20 points up where I started. Was a lot of fun! I was also thinking like 800-900 acc would be best to have a decent chance of hitting even without Feint. I’m thinking something like 39 STR 130 CON rest in DEX? Not sure how many bonus points you can get by 330, I have 35 at my current level and it’s easily possible I’ve missed some statues (also I assume there’s more quests that give points, haven’t done Kalejimas or Maven yet). STR is at a weird number because that’s when it gets a triple return. That would leave me with like 800 acc with my current bad gear and plenty of room to grow, which seems fine.
Since new bows are very strong, i find no reason for my archer to put point in STR. For block pen, you can use gem or gear. HP also can be obtained alot from plate set like hasta+gem+hair costumes. Actually, ppl get missle hole more than using shield at TBL LoL
