For every additional class rank, you receive a bonus of 10% STR , this is the reason why people going green gem ,sisel etc , full str 364 = 833 rank 8 stats , but full dex 364 = 493 rank8 stats , what if rank9 out ? full str 414 = 1017 and dex 414 = 568
Depending on the build, Archer benefits more from DEX stats. But not full Dex ofc.

Depending on the build, Archer benefits more from DEX because of Swift Step. But not full Dex ofc. Evasion and crit rated are needed for archer. If you allocated high in STR you will get hit a lot meaning you will need more Cons than Dex build.
The way I see it:
- DEX > STR for Archer.
- More points in Dex = more benefit from Swift Step (25%).
- You can get more damage from Attributes but not Crit Rate.
Crit Rate/Evasion (Dex) > Crit DMG (STR) > Physical Dmg (STR) > Cons
Get enough crit rate and evasion then put the rest into STR/CONS. Crit rate is #1.
Reposting this since lot of people forget about this

As Nicola says, it should always be a Mixture of STR:DEX with Planned GEARS in the making⦠there is no such āRatioā to follow. that will just bring inaccurate results.
So what to learn here? it shows the Viability of both STR and DEX in numbers, wherein STR and itās raw P.ATK will be having more trouble in the future because of monsters having crit res. not even gears can salvage your % chance to crit.
(the bonus Crit atk from putting STR will be disregarded, of course, when you can never land a Crit. to be frank, clicking STR will only be + min~max atk. and Crit atk will be forgotten)
DEX, meanwhile, being overshadowed in lower level, will slowly regain its viability in Future due to Facts that it increases CRIT RATE (letās forget about EVASION for now) another FACT is, the higher the level gets, The Better Crit rate from DEX benefit is. which makes this build require āLESS P.ATK or STRā to be the same value of what P.ATK from STR offers as of current cap (280)
TL;DR. STR will fallout in future because itās raw Benefit will not be as Effective as DEXās raw Benefitā¦
Raw Benefit:
STR = Max ~ Min ATK, Crit Attack, Block Pen
DEX = Evasion, Hit Rate, Critical Rate
The only thing i would like to know is if you guys think Sissels is superior to gladiators band or if it is the other way around.
I think sissels is only superior in the situation a class has no AOE dependant on AOE attack ratio. If i will plan my gear set up, i need to decide on this.
sissel is more future proof. unless you need that extra AoE, then yes. Glad band is yours to pick.
edit: iāve just seen those new gears mined from tosbase, and believe me. theyāre the reason why STR will be outmatch in the near future.

KToS patch changed it to 5 instead of 7
They never did, this was mostly a rumor. It can even stack to 8 now at rank 8.
Hereās a video of someone doing tests with 8 chapparition cards and druid transformations:
I wonder about that.
For the skills that have 400%bonus strenght and 1000 strenght maybe reachable we cannot predict yet.
I suppose, if you are fletcher for example then its very good idea to keep your crit rate near 100% and you will be rewarded in the future.
But things becomes more complicated if you are wugushi. Poisons canāt crit so probably it is still better to forget about DEX and go full STR. But in other hand due to great base damage of R8 - R10 skills DEX is very important in the future. But every point invested in DEX cant help your posions at all. And if you start invest into DEX your poisons will be very weak and meaby even useless in the future.
There arenāt any skill yet that Benefit from STR, what we currently have are some P.atk % rate coming from musket and cannon skills. if they begin to add more skill damage with P.atk modifier, STR will benefit greatly from it.
as Nicola mentioned, 80% is better, unless you want to give up some bonus STR or CON. 80% is a safe number, itāll guarantee you 100% anyway if you got party.
Wugushi is out of the story. they donāt crit. and they donāt need one.
One thing i want to consider reading on this thread is going Full STR or STR/CON, taking 1 circle for Rogue and get those werewolf cardsā¦
The crossbow lvl 170 beats bandit lvl 220 crossbow.
I recommend you prepare at least 5x werewolf card lvl 10 before you build a full str rogue.
Iām thinking of making a new Mergen alt.
A2-R1-Sc2-Ro1-Falc1
Perspective Distortion enhance 2H BOW + mergen attributes :o?
A2-R1-Sc1-Ro1- x-Falc1
A2-R1-Sap2-Ro1-Falc1
A2-R1-Wugu2-Ro1-Falc1
Is Mergen good enough for a stand-alone dps class? considered it has long cooldown. Iām trying to choose all support/buff classes from 1-7 that will enhance Mergen capability.
Please mind perspective distortion. It is a channel skill, so you cannot act during the animation.
You may use it after you use 2x arrow rain though, it will be very strong burst.[quote=āNicola, post:156, topic:322615ā]
A2-R1-Sap2-Ro1-Falc1

This will be strongest capture-burst build, since you may double broom trap, double flare, double arrow rain, quadruple stake stockades, double circling (extra AoE def reduction?). Mind 3 minute capture cooldown.
Each of your builds has feint&barrage.
The wugu version wonāt benefit a lot of capture since the Throw Gu Pot poison cannot stack, it will refresh. And poison cannot crit. I know you like crits.
Of course you could take the idreamy build too, you will lose falcon1. I believe each mergen skill benefits from AoE defence below 0 (not AoE ratio stack).

Sadly, there are about 3~5 skills with physical attack modifiers and cloakingās attribute is one of them.
The % on musket and cannon skills are T1 modifiers and they are used at the end of the damage formula. This also means that they are irrelevant for the STR and DEX debate.
Not sure right now since itās a long weekend. i just want to see what to pick from 1-7 that will fully support Mergen. So Iām just going to level another archer (not sure which though).

Yes, it seems Three arrow will hit more mobs if you get +AoE attack ratio. However the lightning will always deal 3 hits.
Yes, homing arrow +AoE attack ratio = pierce more mobs (so hits more).
+Circling = multi-shot splash effect on all mobs.
