Is it possible dodge crit atacks?
if a crit attack misses how would you know it was a crit attack?
Probably depends on how its programmed. If its programmed where there is a check for “hit” and then a check for “dodge” and then it goes to the crit check then yes, you’d be able to dodge “crits” although they wouldn’t be crits they’d just be hits that could potentially crit.

To follow up, you get crit resist from CON.
There’s also block chance to take into account.
Maybe just get enough dex to crit on bosses?
Any source for this?
It is probably impossible to reach the maximum critical hit because in PvP most character will have a lot of CON and CON increase critical resistance.
Someone can confirm that; critical resist can become negative with zalciai, mean skill is full effective even enemy havent crit resist?
then, how many dex we need for crit at 90% an ennemy in pvp ?
I think is a valid question, even more for a veteran RO1 player, because in that game critical hits didnt miss at all.
To test that properly 3 characters needed: one with low Dex but high crit rate (through gems), another with high Evasion and last one with high Con.
I know your point, but what im telling you that is not a invalid question because in RO1 (and there is a ton of vet players here), even if you have none dex and the opponent have high amounts of evasion, crit didnt fail.
Even so, this is a different game, so yeah, testing and research is a must in order to know the things.
no one know ? :<<<<<<<<<<<<
Crit formula is:
Crit Chance = (Crit Rate - Crit Res) * 42 / Character Level
100/42 ~= 2.38
So to hit 100% crit chance you need to have Crit Rate = 2.38 * your character level + target crit res.
1 dex = 1 crit rate, so you’d need 280 * 2.38 = ~666 dex. Then factor in target crit res and any crit rate bonuses from gear and skills.
wrong. in ro hit rate apply first. if enemy can dodge ur hit it wont apply crit.
Wow dude… Really? Never played a katar sin then huh?
The ONLY way to dodge a crit in RO is with P.Dodge. It ignores FLEE entirely…
Anyway, sounds like it gets exponentially hard to get crits in this game as you level then. That’s probably why my 70 crit rating is a lot lower than 70%…
Your Dex allocation ratio determines what base crit chance you’re targeting as you level. 42% crit chance is the base, modified by the ratio of your crit rate to your level.
If you put 1 point in Dex per 4 levels (3:1 Str:Dex), you’re targeting a ~10.5% crit chance. Crit Rate/Level = 1/4
If you put 1 point in Dex per 2 levels (1:1 Str:Dex), you’re targetting a ~21% crit chance. Crit Rate/Level = 1/2
If you go full Dex (1 dex per level), you’ll have ~42% crit chance as a base. Crit Rate/Level = 1
Then factor in crit rate from skills and gear, and enemy crit res to get your final crit chance.
Edit: I’m a bit off since you get some bonus points the more you put into dex, but the logic is sound.
My Apologies your correct i’ve never played sin coz i hate that class. only played mage, swordsman, hunter and monk. It actually the perfect dodge that making the sin miss their attack which you can get from luk. Im too old to remember lolz.
