Are the best schwarzer reiter and bullet marker (QS3) ones that include appraiser?
Since both are auto attack based, I think they benefit from high DEX, which means higher critical attack, which makes blindside valuable. Also overestimate to boost gun enhancement.
My current SR and BM are:
Archer2-ranger3-appraiser-SR3.
Archer2-QS3-rogue2-BM2.
In your opinion, what changes would you make to the builds to improve their DPS? (Must be SR3 and BM2-3, I already have other popular archer builds)
Bulletmarker3’s Outrage skill is similar to qs3’s running shot, on a 10s duration and 30s cooldown. Outrage allows you to hit up to 5 enemies and scales on attack speed. The remaining 20s you will use remaining bullet skills. The outrage skills does not stack with Running Shot.
If you would like to keep qs3, I propose swapping a rogue rank for ranger1, to get the critical shot buff. When you use critical shot you receive a 15s buff which increases your damage by [10% per stack] during critical attacks (max 5 stacks). It’s a very strong buff for all archers except wugushi (poison cannot crit). Your rogue’s sneak hit skill will have a 10s cooldown (60s duration with attribute & 70s cooldown) with rogue1. You could swap rogue for appraiser too. Appraiser’s support is better. Rogue is strongest at boss, from behind.
Proposed build:
Archer2 ranger1 (rank 4,5,6 free) rogue1 bullet3
Archer2 ranger2 appraiser rogue2 bullet3,
or if you would like to keep qs3 -> Archer2 qs3 [rogue1 or appraiser] ranger1 bullet3.
For your SR3 build, pick bulletmarker1 at the final rank. Use the Silver bullet buff to get Holy element on attacks. Most mobs are Dark. You will receive a 50% bonus damage with SR skills. You could swap a ranger circle for rogue for stronger damage during bossing. Could also swap another ranger circle for wugushi1 for zhendu’s additional line. Keep in mind zhendu and enchant fire do not stack. If you were already using enchant fire scrolls, do not pick wugushi1’s zhendu.
Proposed build:
archer2 ranger1 x x x SR3 bulletmarker1.
Archer2 ranger3 appraiser SR3 bulletmarker1.
Archer2 ranger2 appraiser rogue1 SR3 bulletmarker1.
Archer2 ranger1 Wugushi1 appraiser rogue1 SR3 bullet1.
Regarding appraiser, pick the class for its debuffs (devaluate, blindside). The overestimate skill’s boost is just a minor bonus. The skill’s animation is still very long.
This is very thorough information. I always thought that ranger3 is a must for schwarzer reiter.
I guess since my SR already have appraiser unlocked, might as well stick with it. But would you say BM2 is helpful to SR3? And do you think archer2 is worth it?
For BM3 AA build, what advantages do you think it has over QS3-falc3? Because I may rank reset into a different route and make it a skill build instead of AA build.
BM3 build advantage is 5-target splash normal-attacks during Outrage’s buff. Another advantage is BM3 skills are strong and ignore part of def (mozambique drill attribute, full metal jacket). Useful vs high def bosses. With outrage’s 10s duration and 30s cooldown you get 20s to cast your remaining skills. A final advantage is the sole investment into pistol. All previous ranks are taken for buffs. Compared to falcon + bullet build’s requirement of crossbow investment for falcon skill scaling.
Falcon3 advantage is utility/support through circling and aiming. Falcon pheasant+roost is a very strong AoE 15 target burst skill. Pre-emptive strike activates sonic strike every 5s for consistent damage. Also circling + bloody overdrive is a strong mobbing combo.
Qs3 + falcon3 + bullet2 is viable. So are falcon3 + mergen2 and hackapel2. Falcon is a good class.
Challenge mode solo qs3 falcon3 bullet2, block mobs with pavise.
Comparison without falconer: challenge mode solo archer2 ranger3 rogue2 bullet3 here<<
Bullet2 skills which don’t dismount: tracer buff, silver bullet, full metal jacket, smash bullet. Smash bullet, tracer, and full metal jacket are strong single target skills. If you dislike limacon on single targets (boss), you may cover single-target damage with bullet2 on SR3 builds. However keep in mind reiter cycles mostly between Retreat shot(+limacon attacks during retreat shot), and marching fire during mobbing. You will have little time to use bullet2’s low cooldown skills.
Archer2 provides 150 crit rate through swift step’s attribute. You gain a bit of crit chance. If you already have very high crit rate through items, the 150 crit rate from swift step is worth a bit less. It is still useful as a buff-and-forget skill.
Compare (crit chance% = crit rate after enemy crit def^0.6):
300 crit rate^0.6 = 31% crit
450 crit rate^0.6 = 39% crit
600 crit rate = 46%
750 crit rate = 53%
900 crit rate = 59%
Ranger1 is a minimum requirement for critical shot’s buff. Steady aim is a nice buff. I would take rogue1 or appraiser instead of ranger3 and stop at ranger2 for your builds, because I value appraiser’s debuffs (party support) and rogue’s sneak hit (bossing) more than the 5% steady aim missile increase bonus from ranger2->ranger3. The reason to stop at ranger2 is because rogue and appraiser unlock at circle5.
First 4 rank options:
archer2 + ranger2: 10% missile buff from steady aim, and 150 crit rate swift step (let’s assume an average value of 6% crit chance boost). This is a balanced option, especially for players who do not have top tier gears with high crit rate yet.
Ranger3: 15% missile buff. Choice for high crit rate geared players. And unless you are mergen or two-handed bow user, then ranger3 becomes a must for steady aim’s passive 50% bonus with 2-handed bows.
No:
Archer3 + ranger1: 5% steady aim, and 175 crit rate. Note this is a very small increase compared to archer2’s 150 crit rate. I don’t recommend this option.
Finally, I will forward you to Tom’s bullet3 vid. Refer to tom’s vid to get an explanation of bulletmarker3’s skills.
Wow, every time you post something really opens my eyes and changes my point of view.
SR3 build should be decided then, arch2-ranger2-rogue-appraiser-SR3-BM.
BM3 build is a bit tough for me. I am 50-50 on whether to go AA or skill build. I really wanna put rogue in it, but then I would wanna go sap3 to capture broom trap… I will need to take some time and think over your provided info.
And what is the 50% bonus for two-handed bow at ranger3? Isn’t it available at ranger2?
Yes that’s right. Ranger’s buff for 2handed bow is at ranger2. Ranger’s steady aim value rises with this attribute, so ranger3 becomes a must for mergen 2-handed bow builds to get the most out of steady aim (and ranger’s offensive skills).
Sapper bullet is a single-weapon investment build too. Sapper includes an attribute passive to chance scaling to pistol.
Single weapon bullet build: qs (dual gun stance), sapper (passive attribute), wugushi (passive attribute), classes for buffs or debuffs (swift step, sneak hit, steady aim, appraiser).
Gexmnlin13, you are welcome. Thanks for your kind words.
Dex or STR, or even mixed stats, it’s all viable. You may supplement stats with equipment. Usually you will have a party with linker to share stats for raid content too.
Players I know are high dex to get the best results for Outrage. But I would not recommend dex beyond 150 for most of itos (ping problems).
Example Drake raid ranger3 archer2 rogue2 bullet3 (~100 CON, rest DEX), mind his positioning vs the backside of boss for high crits, and notice his fast attack speed (good ping ktos server) during outrage:
I am currently using Masisinos Crossbow and +16 primus raffye pistol plus Fietas set + solmiki acessories and 0 invested status and A1 Qs3 Ap Fal3 Bm2 Build.
As you say the ping on iTos is really bad, but I still not tested to invest those extra points aside 100 con 150 dex in STR
Could you check your ping?
In-game, type //ping in normal chat, and press enter.
Try it at crowded location (to simulate busy boss). Or try when a doppel3 is using Cyclone…
If you have time, you could try //ping at your most played content (raid with party, or challenge mode, or something else). I think your //ping will be better at those contents.
For now I recommend 50-100 con (if you need more survival - keep equipment con in mind), 80-120 dex, and rest str (or mix str/spr if you like that - also keep equipment in mind). Full STR or full DEX is for players who would like to min-max their damage (and have low survival, rely on supports/good dodges).
As this is itos, it is difficult to go similar stats to ktos players and get the same results. Their ping is always better.
Oh I just enjoyed seeing big popolion emote again. Regarding ping, perhaps it’s better to have someone else explain it (maybe on another forum section) because my explanation will be lacking.
