How do you train as Cleric early game?

currently, im eyeing for a Cleric-Priest3-Monk3 build and i just dont know how to play the leveling game early… any tips?? i haven’t played the Betas and this will be my first

you hit things with your weapon until they die.
sometimes you cast cure for burst damage, but mostly it’s just mace to the face.

Hmmm… seems like its gonna be a slow ride xD

I’m still down though!

clerics kill faster than others due to less downtime and ability to take hits in safety wall

Heal+cure attacking combo is pretty strong early on and with Safety on good old autoattacking is just wonderful. Due to priest buffs you should deal decent damage with autoattacks

Naw you don’t use cure for damage on a Monk spec, that’s not the route to go at all.

I put the skill points in each bracket for you, so that you don’t overspend. But basically you want to balance Strength & Dex stat distribution.

As soon as you unlock priest (very early) get 3 points in blessings straight away (don’t put anymore in). Then start leveling the blessings skill at the priest vendor with cash.

Each each level, you get 2 extra damage with each blessing tick. Can be leveled upto 50 times. Then when you auto attack blessing adds extra damage to your attack the more you level.

As soon as you get two circle priest, put points into Sacrament. Not only does this add additional (tons to dark monsters) to makes blessing proc twice.

Once you have investing enough cash into ranking up blessing (which damage totally bypasses a mobs defense). That will be enough to carry you through until you get your Monk melee damage skills.

To be clear heal & cure can be used for damage. But only very early in the game. As you aren’t investing stat points into making them stronger with spirit or intellect.

thanks so much for the guide man!!!

one more question though : how would i use my STAT points?? where do they go?

Just start off with a balance of Strength & Dex, all into those stats. As you get a better feel for the game you might one to go more into one or the other.

But balancing both won’t hurt you at the beginning. As you’ll have more than enough levels to get the correct balance you’d want later once you’re more informed.

Either way I doubt you’ll go wrong. I plan to go dex heavy at the start personally. But that’s more of an experiment. Either way you can’t go wrong with those stats.

There’s an argument you can have to much dex for PvE. But by the time you’ll approaching that. You’ll know enough about the game to make an informed discussion.

If you’re planning to go STR/CON/DEX, then whacking stuff with your mace is the way to go.

However, if you’re planning to go INT/CON/SPR, then Clerics have their own kind of offensive magic.
