Ah thanks for the heads up. Didn’t register not seeing Diev in Rank 2 LOL
Guess I’m pummeling through Cleric C2 before Diev. I think I already have a party of people to level with so it’ll ease the grind.
That’s good to know! It’ll be good to have a party till Diev C2, since Diev C1 still lacks any great offensive skills.
Here is what I plan for my Cleric life.
- Heal 1, Cure 1 ASAP
- Level up to Heal 5, Cure 5, Safety Zone 5.
- Keep using/upgrading Heal and Cure until I get better attacking skill
- Reskill from Cure to Deprotected Zone.
Ah, yeah, I was thinking that too. Since I know that Heal and Cure can damage monsters. How easy/hard is it to gain access to a Skill Reset Potion?
If you buy founder pack, you have already got one for free. Else, you have to buy for TP cash shop. I can’t remember the price from Ktos but it should be around 20 TP +/-.
Full Support Priest here, also, didn’t read the replies below. Based on my experience (3spr1con builder here), It’s better if you go for cleric 1 then krivis then go back to cleric 2 because levelling is a nightmare like it’s harder than most by 300%? Only reason why it was easier for me is that I have my special someone play with me constantly.
Cleric 2 is NECESSARY. Why? Because HEAL 10. Heal 5 is okay but sometimes, you would need the extra 5 squares of heal for other people. C2 Cleric should be around rank 3 i guess. Don’t make the same mistake like I did. Went from cleric 1 > priest 3 then saw that in the higher levels, cleric 2 was efficient since it had more heal. Upside is that I got max stone skin and max mass heal.
Simple: You buy buffs from pardoners to save yourself from waisting your gyslotis, holy water and powder for 2 hours. Keep your weapon updated to have higher damage (only when you see that your weapon is starting to get useless or weak against the monsters) and whack away. Most important is to have PATIENCE. because bots will KS the crap outta you.
I’ve gone through the life of Cleric-Cleric-Cleric path. It wasn’t bad. I heal-bombed land mobs and steam-rolled bosses with my Cure and Heal, and played whack-a-mole against flying ones.
I made a Priest some days ago.
Real talk here; leveling as Cleric-Priest-Priest was a torture.
I even went Bokor at rank 4 just to keep my sanity.
My choice was right.
embraces same here bro im an int cleric>priest>diev, whenever I see a flying mob I let out a deep sigh. diev c2 was worth it for owl
Heal does damage as does Cure.
Heal gains more tiles with more levels which means Heal 10 can do 10 hits worth of tiles. Since Heal has 2 overheat, you can get 20 hits out of cure 10.
Cure as well gains 2 hits per level, so you can 10 more hits on Cure with Cure vs Cure 5.
Cleric does have damage skills they double as support skills.
Priest C1-3 is extremely easy to level, with the buffs and Cafrisun. There’s a reason why all bots go Priest/Chaplain.
Cleric C2-3 isn’t that hard to level either, just have to go back to town often to rebuff from pardoners. I just use the city warp scrolls to go back, and come back to the map with the quest warps.
Uh-huh, except that I didn’t use the overpowered set.
It’s cheap, you can easily buy it at a low level, if you don’t spend all your silver on upgrade etc.
When asked whether it is easier to level a cleric3 or a cler1 priest2 with the same SPR : CON build, it is certainly easier with priest… It’s probably not that hard levelling a priest when you have already maxed the blessing enhanced attribute (this is a priority since it is our main “offensive” skill). Added with sacrament and cafrisun set, I can 3x strikes the mobs on construct masoleum (currently lv 74 using a simple non upgraded 3 star common Lv 40 Blunt). Though no AoE skills, but at least it is not an impossibility to kill mobs alone. Maybe when i have reached Paladin things will get a little better.
Your build is probably int type cleric, which makes killing a whole lot easier… but is it good for grinding too? Being overly restricted by skill cooldown and all (assuming you’re not wearing cafrisun and buying sacrament/blessing buff).
When do people starts partying to level grind in ToS? Because the journey to lv 90 Dungeon still seems to far away… while auto-partying at lv 50 dungeons only grants like 7.2% each run @ lv 74.
I have a cleric2>diev>paladin (currently paladin c2>c3) and i’d say it’s hard for me since i only build it to support in dungeons, goin full con from the start and i jut rely on pardoner’s buff and when i reached 90 i just stopped doing quest. btw it’s only my alt so i don’t really focus him to level.
on topic, since i’m c2 i just place heal, cast divine might, safety zone to protect others(mostly wizards who has casts time or sadhu whose safety zone just expired) and deprotected zone or cure sometimes… for diev part, i place it near the boss(for it’s debuff) and party members for the CD and less sp usage, for paladin i always use restoration to boost my heal and occasionally resist elements(if we are facing elemental mobs and if we have elementalist/cryo/pyro on party)
1st question to ask is “Are you playing on a completely new server?” If yes you are f#cked no matter what you do. If no the next question to ask is “Are there pardoners around?” If yes then “it doesn’t matter”.
Pardoners make lv 1 to 100 irrelevant. All your money should go to max lv pardoner buffs. No attributes. No gear upgrades (yes you can stick to lv1 gear but the game throws new free gear at you too). No gear enhancements (yes +0 gear will carry you through to 100 easy).
With that said. If your answer to both questions is “yes” then cleric c2 at rank2 will be easy (you could go cleric c3 at rank 3 and it will still be easy). Luckily there are no completely new servers as of now so … yeah, should be easy enough.
As for your title question. The answer would be “no”. I once had a chaplain with lv 3 (not even lv 5) [heal] and lv 5 (not even lv 10) [mass heal]. It is only necessary for a stupid party (that or you are doing ET).
Most parties are kind of stupid though… some wont even walk on the heals with half hp…
That is true. So you got to ask yourself “how often are you in a stupid party”.
Had my main to help level my FS cleric. Going full spirit so leveling cure and heal tile damage is useless. Best is to get pardoner buffs along with a +10 sword and +6 set of cafrisun armor (+ gloves most important for accuracy). At level 15 (cleric 1 priest 1) maxed out the blessing skill since pardoner blessing buff is very limited and this really pushes your low level dps, sucks later on but ktos might save this skill. This should keep you going pretty well till about 140 then you need to just push yourself past the 186 rest, it will be painful solo.

[/quote]You did have Priest3 though, without it Cleric2 is nearly required, and Heal10 is considerably easier to use if you’re new to the game. OP would likely to face trouble without Cleric2, because not enough experience healing.
