Yea, the fact alot of people complained about it.
Like @ArecArws said, yes all the evidence is listed in both the forums from the previous beta and the survey.
I forgot to mention that the game has vastly changed since the last beta, using some suggestions from the survey alongside the fact that the exp rate is much higher for this phase, so itâs likely the amount of people that stick around this phase might be higher as well.
Very few people who care enough to complain on a forum quit right away in any game, let alone in a one week beta. WoWâs forums were nonstop complaining during its big growth phase. Few of the complaints I saw on here mentioned quitting, but I wasnât watching closely for that and may have missed it, so can you show examples of threads with a large number of people quitting before the end of beta?
The survey disagrees with you. It had a 98.3% definitely returning rate and 89% said they were satisfied or very satisfied. The response rate was pretty high for a voluntary email survey, too.
I was hoping for evidence like someone keeping track of in game ranking numbers, but you guys donât have anything showing player activity levels.
That said, itâs probably true that access to higher classes and the ability to bring all your friends in will increase activity.
The survey responses is what I was referring to. Many people talked about the exp rate, and other features such as auto attacking, which they didnât like. That stuff was changed for this beta. Not to mention the countless threads/topics/etc. You also have to consider a lot less people did the survey compared to the amount of people that got in, and after day 1, there was a lot less players on the server (no numbers, but it was based off looking at the channel population)
Sadly I donât have numbers for you.
