How concerned are we?

I dont get your logic or sarcasm or w/e you mean, im pretty calm, but the OP concern was already discussed this week on another thread, some answered him so as i did normaly, some did said something misleading which i just retified what the person said, its obvious stuff that is being posted here and in any moment i dissed or flamed someone here, its just text in here, theres no emotion read behind it and even if there is, no one can idenify it with accuracy.

I already said what i needed to the OP and commented on others answers.

PS: and about your quote from the main page, i did checked that, but the way of selection still the same as the CBT system, only a few selected independent of how many got selected, after the registration period no one will be selected, simple as that.

Well this is enough from me on this thread.

You guys made a lot of good points, but no need to get so serious.

This is closed beta. Plain and simple. There are two common ways that access keys are released for closed betas:

  1. Fixed Ratio Access: Keys are released with a specific limit on key quantity
  2. Fixed Interval Access: Keys are released within a specific duration, until the fixed deadline

Tonnes of games use both of these forms of closed beta access every year. Many games use both forms of closed beta access at different times in development.

Both forms of closed beta access are defined by their particular restrictions on player access. Each one limits the number of players that can participate, but in different ways. Open beta implies that open access to the game is not time restricted, within the beta period. This means, if the game was open beta, you’d be able to access the game at any time following registration until the end of open beta. Open beta itself can follow fixed intervals, but if access is unrestricted during the beta’s duration, it is definitely an open beta.

calm your mammary glands and enjoy some BGM…

Grabs a scotch, turns on computer, plays some tunes.

Those numbers aren’t too real if they haven’t been put to test yet. There are some dedicated people with decent amount of play time who’ll get their reports ready, but there are also those people who simply play (they should be grateful for the totally-open access). Uhh, I’m one of those grateful people.

Anyway, the capital city’d probably be hella crowded.

The grind never really bothered me , besides all mmorpgs have some sort of heavy grinding…now Dragon Nest is a different story.

I got invited to the last test and didn’t even participate because I forgot to check my email. There’s bound to be one or one thousand people who do the same.

We shall see if it’s open or closed beta after the 19th… If they still give out keys by then, then we can call it open… If not, i doubt ppl who cant get a key would call it open beta… =P

inb4 bots

and i hope its not bots -__-

ayyyy lmao, seriously I didnt feel it was much grind, but maybe i didn’t test it enough.

well jokes on them, there is a reason, why its closed

it is not open. they decide who joins, not everyone can join. it contains even in their title ā€œCBTā€ closed beta test, its not open.

Not concerned at all.

Sure, there might be disconnects, login difficulties and even long periods of not being able to play, but that’s the whole point of the beta. To test the game and it’s servers. Should any issues arise, they will note them down and iron them out before release.

We’re helping to ensure the release is as smooth as possible.

The last number I checked was 150.234

I’ll just put this in here.

How concerned are we. HOW CONCERNED ARE WE?

… nope. Can’t play in International since we already got our local server for TOS.

I think it’s actually a bit low considering you would expect the core of the community to sign up + a bunch of people’s dual box accounts and such.

You have to consider that people left the first beta because they either did not enjoy the gameplay or could not tolerate the exp rate.

This beta is a much much higher exp rate, so it’s likely a lot more people will continue playing.

Will this concern me? No. If anything it’ll help IMC prepare its servers and channel system for the launch of the game.

Want me to hold you?

   that’s a surprising pickup line.

Is there any real evidence for this, or is it just an assumption?
