This might only apply to duels, but when a scout uses cloaking, they don’t go fully invisible, they just fade out a bit (unless something bugs out). You’re not allowed to target them directly with things like wizard autos, so just use anything that’s ground targetted or just fires in the direction you’re facing.
Unlike in some other games, invisible =/= invincible.
ohhhh so skills can still hit them? what about sleep?
I would imagine it does work, but it’s better to just knock them out of stealth with an attack of some kind.
Aura skills like Jolly roger will give cloakers a shadow.

Scouts do go invisible, if the scout you’re dueling is your guildmate or partymate that’s the reason why you can see him.
Edit: ground spells dont hit them either they’re invulnerable during cloaking state.

they are totally invisible unless it’s your pt member or guild mate
there are tons of way to counter it
sword man C block, high lander cross guard, rodel slithering
cleric safety zone, kabbalist 's revenged 7 fold
wizard try to use magic circle or aoe spell to zoning, or you have to be tanky enough to take the first hit

duel means nothing to later GvG or battle league tho
cloaking only gives archer to initiate in battle but if they don’t use it smartly they will got killed instead after the cloaking effect goes off
also if you as a wiz lose to an archer it’s a shame
that mean your build path is not an good one for pvp or wrong stat location
or maybe too weak equipment

Im sure ground spells hits the cloaked scout. As a scout i do almost get hit by ground spells like heal tiles of a mob even in a cloaking stage, and those AoE attacks of a monster in an instanced dungeon where I used cloak for movespeed and when I run beside my party one of them gets hit by spinning glizardon (130 dg) I also get hit and removed my cloaking status.
A hint: Get a Falconer.
If you can’t do that, just blind cast or run.
Falconer for what? Detect?

for cloaking, I use barrage (Ranger). If you are not ranger, then you need to run around and wait until they show up LoL

Base from my experience…try locking them and keep on eye on the locked mark on the ground. I can see their shadow even theyre in stealth mode. The reason i can hit them with stun and use hexen xD…BUT it’s either a glitch or a feature lol so dunno if it will still work after the maintenance. Try it w/ any players from an opposing guild
This game will never be balanced for duels. Archers are irrelevant in team pvp. Team pvp is only for Plague Doctors and Cryo/Warlocks.
Its a bug that existed back in icbt. You are not supposed to see their shadow, neither to see the dust (background effect on) when they run around invisible. It makes invisibility pointless in pvp to me. Only way to prevent this bug is to hide before pvp start, but if you cloak during combat, it wont help. Bummer.
