Hoplite or SwordsMan, Dex or Str? Shinobi Help

Class and Rank Swordsman

I’m doing a shinobi mostly 4fun purposes, and to play with my GF (shes doesnt play very often so…) so i want a corsair szhinobi build, dont tell me to go with other stuff since i jsut want to be a pirate ninja…
but before i can get to that part of my fun, i need to choose what i should go for ranks 3-5ish
So i’am between those 2 paths
SW1>Pelt1>Hop2>C2>Shi1 and SW1>Pelt1>SW3>C2>Shi1

Is it worth to get Swordsman for more skills for bushin? i dont think so but i’m still considering this for DWA and double slash

Also Which one works best for shinobi? Dex or Str? or even a balance between both?

And Lastly… i still dont know what i should go for Rank8 i want hop3 cor3 or something else thats not murmillo

do NOT do that
at rank 8, the best is to take a rank 8 class, rank 8 mobs have ridiculously high hp
do not go corsair 3 if you want a good shinobi build i would ditch the corsair altogether and do either sword 2 pelt 1 hoplite 3 shionbi murmilo
reason being is that pain barrier lvl 10 helps with setting up the clones and good with bossing and pelt 1 is good because this build will use a 1h spear+shieldthe most important thing about that build is getting synchro thrusting to high lvl, enhancing it with murmilo and enhancing your shield to make synchro thrusting stronger
murmilo has an attribute that make hoplite skill synchro thrusting 300% stronger and it is usable with clones (Another 500% damage)

IMO, while we will never know the exact class for next rank or so, we can still have a decent guess of what we can expect. Of course, it is safer to pick from what are available for now, but your character might turn out to be one big rainbow build every single time new rank come out. :sweat:

It’s up to your decision to create your own path though :slight_smile:

Well i just said that I don’t want to change that part, since i just want to be a >pirate ninja< and its for fun so I don’t really need a goooood build, just one that I can have fun and not getting stuck cO

And also that I wanted anything that’s not murmillo haha it just Doesn’t fit my playstyle, I may consider the other rank8 class tho

And i still don’t know about str/dex proportion

oh lancer doesn’t fit at all in that build better go corsair 3 :smiley:

As long as he have friends or guild to carry him then why not. If he is a kirito then yup I know how you feel. Rank 8 content is cancer and shinobis or corsair having no rank 8 synergy is also cancer :joy:

well shinobi is best with murmilo but since he doesn’t want it then yea pretty much shinobi sux at any other build
corsair and shinobi TOGETHER though has no synergy anymore, imc killed it :frowning:
and no one would go shinobi lancer thats kinda weird

I went swordsman 3 pelt corsair 3 shinobi (not in order). Got guild so it was no problem for me. New corsair 3 is pretty decent for utility(not for damage) anyway. I wouldnt advise solo players to go like me. Murmillo would be a decent choice. Lancer is okay if you want to use skills and unmount all the time. Kakaka

I am also thinking that since I don’t play much with this character (bc I play with my gf) then hopefully untiiiiil i get to rank8 then there should be some changes, or at least rank9 comes and then I can decide what to do cD
(Its been a week since I started this character and now I’m just lv17… like my gf don’t play with me everyday)
Shinobi would be better if it was in archer tree so I could do scout+rogue+shinobi lol

OP doesn’t want best, OP wants fun with Pirate-Ninja.
Just a reminder.

I’ve gone for SW2>Barb2>C2 (currently C1 - can always go Dragoon if push comes to shove) even though I knew this wouldn’t be optimal but I like melee auto attack/buff builds (which this one purely is).
It’s at least a fun Corsair build.

SW2 is definitely a no-brainer so I’d suggest SW2 Hop2 (I have no clue how Synchro Thrusting works without shield)

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…i love my corsair but still didnt go rank 8…after i go rank 8 n take the shinobi…i think ill show u…ill do if i remember…

Corsair 3 + Pelt Combo basically max out what this build can offer in terms of utility (max missile damage and provoke).

In terms of self sustained damage though, Sword-X-Hop 2-Corsair 2-Shinobi-Y would probably be the highest due to spear lunge + pierce skills (hexen, kunai, stabbing).

Going X= Pelt and Y=hop 3 would make this char a very decent farmer with spear throw and provoke from pelta’s sb. Making Y = corsair 3 instead would max out utility as mentioned above and still keep the hop 2 damage boost.

Given your fixed choices, i think that’s pretty much what can be done with that char.

JUST THE CONCEPT OF EVER EXISTING A PIRATE NINJA WINS THE GAME AND THERE’S NO WAY WAY OTHER COMBO WOULD BE BETTER
i never even thought that was possible but there ot is
I even want to create and draw a character that’s a pirate ninja
Until I reach rank8 I’ll decide is i want the dmg or the ultility or even something else that may come out until then lol

I’m going to make this with my Rank Reset SW 3 - Pelt - Corsair 3 - Shinobi,
Reading tthis post was helpfull to me,
Also, I would like to remember that in 315 with Corsair C3 you can get the Aspana Revolver, and Abdochar, wich make a great combo for Corsair, I’ve seen some videos from similar builds that clean the 240 dungeon SOLO, in less than 20 mins, being at the same level (244 if I dont get wrong)
If can be helpfull to you, I’ll go DEX+CON (Something about 100 invested in CON, the rest in DEX), cause I plan to go PVP with this char, and I believe that will be usable in Earth Tower (Thinking about it).

Same here, going sword3 pelt cors3 shino aiming pvp and i read that at rank maps Pain Barrier helps a lot (and i prefer to play a sword/dagger shinobi than a spear shinobi xD ).

Main thing Hop2 offers is SpearLunge for stronger pierce type damage for Hexen, and Finestra10 for more crit and block.
What makes people go Sw3 lately is due to Painbarrier15’s uptime(29+5 new C3 attribute) and Restrain’s disable/slow which really helpful at the current r8 content.

Sad thing bout’ Sw3>Pelt>Sair3>Shin is there isnt much any notably good 1hand sword compared to other weapons of the same level/tier at late game.

So about the weapons… going hop2 makes you a spear shining right? Going sw3 makes you sword/dagger then?
Is there a possibility of dagger and pistol (for corsair) or what? What are my options on hop2 and sw3 weaponwise?
