Honest Question

How many players here play this game in hopes that it will improve, but would never recommend it to their friends until massive changes are made.

Or do you find the game fine as is and would suggest it to friends.

  • I will continue to play, But would not recommend it to friends.
  • I would recommend this game to friends.
  • I am not sure why I am playing this game.
  • I would recommend the game to friends with a large disclaimer.

Game has issues, but overall is fine. IMC will learn a good lesson early (hopefully). Worst comes to worst Nexon takes it over and after a few years we have a RO-Maplestory mashup

Yea im mostly just curious on peoples opinions because IMC has a strange history.

They started with lots of awful decisions then got to the point SLOW improvements, but improvements none the less. With the odd awful patch added in like increasing trade restrictions every once in a while.

Which makes it hard to decide how i feel about their behavior.

“hey man, come play ToS with me. We can find some quests like old days. It is new and they are adding stuff into the game. Check it out when the servers are open to new players again.”

The only reason I’m currently not recommending the game to friends is because they couldn’t join anyway. Once it’s open again I’d recommend it no problem.

I am not sure why I am playing this game. Maybe, because i don’t like other one but surely not because i like ToS very much.

I would also like to add… I did recommend this game to friends, I hyped people up for this. I bought 5 people EA packs. They all left it for something less grindy, that would “reward” them more. And honestly… “Leveling” in ToS so far is stupidly easy compared to grindy mmos in the early 2000s…

This game has a lot of potential, but is stupidly complex. Makes changes/fixes slow.

Don’t even get me started on that mess.

I agree with that but i also feel a lot of things are broken and need to be redone from scratch like def being flat reduction instead of % is already showing sooooo many problems at 280, never mind when 500-600 roll around.

And how does those problems impact me and my friend playing this game for fun?

Yeah the whole def thing is really confusing… Is it really just a flat 1:1 reduction? The easy solution would be to reduce damage overall. But, we live in the times where if you’re not hitting huge numbers people feel unaccomplished… Gotta hit that 10M dmg cap :poop:

Huh,guess I’m in the minority that I expected to be the majority.

The biggest problem right now is if they weren’t already in they’re stuck on the sidelines. But, yeah there is very little you can’t do with a few friends and have fun doing it.

So for your friends it was too grindy and for you, there’s not enough grind? Time to find new friends.

I don’t really care about the grind, it’s more: “Is this game fun, unique, and enjoyable?”

It really doesn’t im just saying the access to new players has been down to long, and is not helping the games longevity.

I think so, but with the amount of lvls in this game it really needs a better method of scaling. Because by the time your 280 armor set bonus’s / stats are all that matter the def on the items are irrelevant.

I really like the

“I play this game but i not recommend because you woundn’t like it. You are not as special as me. I can stand some situations that you don`t because i’m a special snowflake”.

The reason thats there is because even a few people have mentioned already they still play ToS and are not sure why because they don’t think its a great game.

Just because you are playing doesn’t mean you think the game is currently good.

Well I really like the game but I also kinda want to get friends to play cause its quite lonely… redoing quests on 4th character is boring, but I did it with some random guy last night and turned out quite fun.

I wouldn’t recommend it because I know the preferences of people I’ve played games with.

It doesn’t boil down to being special or not,it’s that some people can tolerate or be patient with problems/game bugs while others cannot.

I can wait out these problems and see where the game goes, and so can plenty of other people here. But plenty of others can’t,as seen by reviews and forum posts.I’m not going to waste my time recommending it to people I know fall into that category.

That make more special:

“I play a game but the game is bad. I like bad games because i have mental issues or that trigger my masochist fetish.” Maybe i’m bad person and i need to be punished’

Seriously. I prefer the special snowflake version. If you play a game that you don`t like or you are sick or lying to send a “message” - That why people leave a bad review and still plays - hypocrisy.
