The Flag helps with drops and not only silver?
That’s a plus.
yes, just remember that item drops have a significantly lower chance, but I got things like venier recipe, moyabu horn, terraniums and criti cannon recipe from it. so it actually helps to plant a flag for every camp/wave you kill
I have some question to ask about Corsair skill. (just change 3 days ago)

How does Dust Devil skill damage work?
I found that it can do decent damage (only lv1) compare to my lv10 Cleave and lv5 Seism with both have 30% attribute. -
Do DD and Hexen get bonus from dagger mastery? I think this attribute is good but useless for Corsair because I need to hit behind enemy and no skill support this at all. (IMO It makes sense for Rogue tho)

Last about DWA, how does this skill work on mouse mode? and I heard that it sucks and has bug or something now right?
Uhh by the way sorry to borrow your topic.
On top of what Lostac said, JR can also steal cubes from dungeon bosses so don’t forget to plant them.

Each new class rank, the damage goes up. So Barb starts at Rank 3, where as Corsair starts at Rank 5. So for instance if you took Barb C3 instead of Corsair at Rank 5, you’d gain Pouncing and could take Seism to 10. It kind of outshines Corsair C1 until you hit Corsair C2, in my opinion, and perhaps should since Corsair C2 is at least a Rank 6 class where as the other two are both Rank 5. However Dust Devil has good damage so it can be “comparable” in loo of taking Barb or another class to the next level. So taking more circles adds a bit of damage to existing skills and adds new ones, or you can take a new class and the damage/utility should be at least close. ToS devs have also said they want to phase old classes out damage wise as new ranks emerge. So it’s best to think in terms of utility when picking classes. Dust Devil is indeed a nice underrated small circular AoE.

Yes they both receive benefits. It’s actually easier for Swordies to get behind an enemy because of sprint. I know I do it often on boss monsters, not only for the damage boost but to avoid their attacks. In PvP even Rogues with Scout have a hard time due to magic being unavoidable even in cloaking. So there’s a tad bit of an advantage having sprint, but still hard to execute in PvP.

No idea about mouse mode. Hopefully someone else can help there. It doesn’t have any bugs I’ve seen, and I think it’s a skill more about preference. Some Corsair’s skip it completely and others build around it. A Venom dagger can help make it shine more. It’s also a really good filler for when skills are on cool down.
Thank you very much for your answer
Yeah when fighting boss it’s kinda easy to do that. (except when tanking I always make sure boss facing opposite side of my party) I would be love if they change to something like add damage directly when Corsair attack with dagger and maybe decrease percent a bit. Then It will be good with DWA too.
I can’t decide to go Corsair C2 or Fencer C2 because of this DWA reason.
if it works fine, I think I will go with Corsair C2 because I love to have option for AA too. XD (well it’s long way to go tho since I will take Fencer first.)
I was in your situation but I’ve decided to go with Corsair C2. Compared to Fencer C2 you get a better deal, at least for now - hexen, better jolly roger vs prep. Now if Fencer C3 comes out and it’s amazing and it’s better than other new classes then I might change my mind.
I still can’t decide whether to take Frenzy and DWA. Heavily leaning towards not taking any of them. Both of these require some auto attacking, which may not really happen that often on a Fencer, well depends on how many mana pots you are willing to use. DWA is a weird one because as far as I understand you need to press your sub weapon button for the weapon to attack, you can’t just hold down z and expect both main and offhand weapons to attack, which sounds way to clunky to be of any use.
Actually now that I think about, if you want to stay as a Fencer at rank 8, going Fencer C2 now would be the best. That’s because Fencer C3 will keep your Fencer skill relevant at rank 8, as it’s going to be a rank 8 class which might be able to compete with other rank 8 classes. Though Corsair C2 and Fencer C2 might still be OK.
Another thing to note, think of preparation like spear lunge for hoplites. You could use it on better pierce skills in the future, if we get anything better than our weak sept etoiles, lol
I wish we had some more info on rank 8 already!!! Although, it’ll be some time before I have to choose between Corsair 2 and Fencer 2.
I doubt it.
It seems that they’re trying to put the best damage skills at C2.
no no, not only fencer 3, but future classes as well, like matador
Then, I hope they let us use the new skills with rapier.
