Heavy Shot vs Twin Arrows vs Split Arrows

Hi, just wondering what everyone thinks about these skills when we’re talking about single target damage. I’m currently running lvl 5 Twin Arrows and going for Split Arrows lvl 5 after getting ScoutC3, so Twin Arrows seems a bit redundant then going by stats since Split Arrow looks like it does comparable damage against single targets already? Instead, I’m considering going lvl 10 Heavy Shot for the knockback. Heavy shot also gets +50% damage against plate armored targets from what I see. I’ve also read somewhere that Twin Arrows does +50% damage against cloth, but the game itself doesn’t display such effect on screen in words. (Like +50% heavy shot) So I’m not sure if that’s really the case.

Opinions much appreciated in advance.

Twin Arrow will be better for single target (bosses) since you’re doing 200%. Split Arrow only does 200% to the targets it bounces to, initial target only takes 100% + base damage.

So when you’re saying things like 100%, 200% etc. does that refer to your character’s base damage, while “+ base damage” refers to the skill base damage?

So for example if I have 500 physical damage, lvl 5 Twin Arrows would do 1000 + 320 damage while Split Arrows would do 500 + 631 damage on a single target? (not counting defense stats)

Using your example (500 atk)

Twin Arrow is basically (500 + 320) x2 = 1640 damage
Split Arrow is basically (500 + 631) = 1131 damage on the main target, 2262 on the bounced target

As you get more attack via str or better weapons, twin arrow gains twice the amount of damage compared to split arrow.

Ah thanks for clearing that up.

Although the 320 attack from Twin Arrows only applies to the first arrow, so I heard and then I tested it myself to be sure. So that’d be 1320 damage from Twin Arrows and 1131 damage from Split Arrows.

That being said, this did still change my mind about which skills I should take, so now I’m going to max twin arrows while keeping 1 lvl on heavy shot.

I’m more interesting if twin arrows are considered as 2 hits? which means 1 hit can miss/blocked or both. did someone test it yet that way?

@keruchan_0 Just tested this a few mins ago. Twin Arrows is considered as 1 hit.
