❤ Big and Hard~! ❤

I know we have enough dungeons here and later on…but…

And by this I mean Raids~

Call it cliche among other RPGs or a nessesity, but I say raids are the crown diamond that makes it all worth while. Testing the minds and creativity of both players and the developers that are creating them, it can be a massive motivation for players grinding to reach 270, 400, 600+. Of course, it would help immensely in giving this game the respect it should deserve.

So now here comes the very delicious part of this thread~

Would you love to have raids in this game?

How big and how hard would you like it~?

Would you like it if the developers stop boss rushers from being demikey?

What kind of mechanics would you put in a raid boss?

Would you love it if the developers made the raid map(s) so beautiful and awesome to look at, it gave you a face like this~?

Another Hyperion thread to bookmark and like? Don’t mind if I do.

But real talk, I want a Demon Lord Rush. And I want it to counter multiple people instead of just one class. So that different people shine at different parts, and it encourages diversity among classes.

Raids…eh. Unless it’s like a harder Mission-esque setup, I could see it mega lagging everyone to the point where FPS becomes SPF (Speed per Frame).

I like raids, and not to drag this off topic; but they really need to work on optimization before raids can begin to be discussed.

I would say 10-man would be a sufficient and safe number to start with till they work on optimization. By then it’ll probably go up to 20 or more.

Raid line up:

  • Taunt
  • 2 fletcher
  • Chrono
  • linker c3
  • Cleric

Multiple parties of that…

Anyway on a serious note, I hope they become creative when it comes to raid so that other classes would be wanted lol

Is it me or OP is overly horny?

Fun suggestion tho.

You should read all of Hyperion’s posts.
Love the style, but the children are only gonna get curious about big and hard things. :3~

+1 to Raids, love 20-man parties, love big events.

Ah, I get you. You just want to get it rolling. And when things get better, you’ll want more to participate in the orgy. But I know one thing, a Daino-user would definitely be required in a 10 man party. Too much buff overlap otherwise.

@Avidity Hyperion is an envoy of Zone-tan. So honestly I’m okay with it and the reprieve from the White Knight Wars that plague the forum. I actually welcome it.

Go big or go home

As for mechanics, id like to see jumping being more useful during fights… Also any kind of mechanics that just doesnt involve just doing as much dps as possible. Maybe have some kind of spawns you need to kill first… places you need to stand at certain times… stuff you need to activate… idk

What’s zone-tan?

Hyperion posts never cease to amaze me, even being a devoted radiotherapist I feel hopeless against this cancer.

which anime is that? Seems familiar…

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!
or
God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!

Is that really the name of an anime or a daffy duck speech?

It’s Japanese haha qq

Yeah it’s one of those mouthfuls. I’ll add the translated one.

Kids, you can’t find the newest Hyperion thread with forum search?

That’s okay! Google is your friend! Pick any thread title you remember and do a quick google search and click “I’m feeling lucky!”

Okay no, really, don’t do that. Ever lol

I think raids would be pretty fun but firstly the FPS optimization issues would require being addressed before anything. This would have to be mandatory. Secondly I would love to see some of them be… a little more dynamic than what we currently expect. i.e. what about when you enter a raid you get a somewhat randomized selection of monsters/bosses? Like procedural generation.

This would allow for immensely varied raid content, a final tiered-battle end-boss that is picked from a pool, and would prevent a meta from ever being made. I mean the gimmicks may be the same for most raid maps (based on the map/event itself) but the mobs etc would be varied enough to allow for immunity-type monsters, flag-bearer types (aoe buffs to surrounding enemies that even may include immunity or crazy haste type effects etc)… I mean, think WoW raid meets Path of Exile’s random named enemies and groups on themed ladders.

With dynamic content we could have a raid whose mechanics could be learned and mastered per boss, but, whose raid event would be highly varied and depend more on efficient play rather than just filling out the party according to the meta for the sure-clear.

I want a boss that splits into 5 bosses and aggro on each player individually.

i could say that i like the idea of massive raids being added to ToS in the future, but not until they do something about that FPS problem whenever you see alot of player is around, i guess raid would have to wait.

back on LoE: Vengeance days, we usually do a massive organized raids like this: 30 Man dragon raid
