I’m all for raids, but if you can’t handle a crowd of people for world bosses and your FPS drops like crazy, then raids will do the same.

TLDR: shits probly being made already under wraps in kToS as if like devs would even read this.

Recent Boss rushes and raid in recent MMOs had gone so casual and simple to just who’s burst damage is better, gone were good old days where there’s actual strategy and preprations.
-recovers hp then full mag. res. at certain hp thresh hold then rec. and full phys. res. next
-can only be damaged at certain time in certain areas in the map

  • clocked with little no no signal of a full map wipe kill skill
    -certain boss skill can/will break equipment durability
    -map wide debuffs that can cripple players hard

It’ll be nice to just have it as some sort of instance dun. Compared to a free for all and competing against the server tops who are geared to the tooth so new player in endgame can have a go with it. It should be like a time attack and give extra rewards depending on clear time then more for the top 10(-20?) fastest raid group(<250-<500 players or so).

-only available at certain times of the day, twice a day
-3-5 parties(15-25 players) are needed to enter
-there’s a raid board/npc/icon where pt leaders can scout/search for other parties or just join in the random raid queue

Still looking for more people with ideas and opinions~

I’d like some FFXIV-like raids with mechanics and stuff. Pre-Heavensward the raids were amazing and engaging as they bend with the storyline. The thing was easy: A boss encounter full of mechanics where you had to learn an plan on a strategy to beat it. Some mechanic involved certain degree of teamwork and not individual skill check. Not to mention a DPS check, since there was a enrage timer. MMO veterans are no strangers to these elements.

However, to address the biggest complaint that came out with that system, I would like to mix it together with a WoW style boss distribution, where you have a BIG ASS PLACE and the bosses are scattered around. Like ICC, for example.

The way it worked there is that you have a mix of linear progression (let’s say 3 bosses in a row) and a hall where the bosses are split, where you have the freedom to choose which one you want to down first. You beat them all, you unlock the final raid boss. It might require to have a different lockout, based on beat bosses instead of entries like a regular dungeon.

This also might require different layers of difficutly (Retard, Normal, Hard) in order to please a wider audience. Harder = better loot.

Well they can only do so much to putting those concepts into ToS bosses/monsters in general. However, developing raid bosses with skill timings and conditions would be as easy as thinking up new types of monsters and maps to make, its definitely possible even for them.

In comparison to the map layouts they have here in TOS to WoW’s ICC, they’ll need to make the raid map large as heck if they can’t expand the instance with inside-ports. WoW in general is open world, this kinda includes their dungeons and raids, so for TOS I was actually thinking they would make stairways or elevators to the next floor of that same map. I think I remember some maps being similar to what I’m describing.

I’m also all in for the difficulties. Except for an easy mode. Nowadays, normal mode raids in WoW are the easy mode like a dungeon run with PuGs(pickup groups). It’s more pathetic than ridiculous.
Hopefully, they make TOS’s normal mode raids possible and enjoyable respectively while making the hard modes seemingly impossible but also fun. Keeping in mind that its all worth the trouble and everyone in the raid is rewarded with at least something from it.

Another thing id like to see. Some ridiculous over the top boss attack that can wipe your whole party if youre not careful.
