On both the demo vids of the skill on the skill calculator online + youtube videos iv’e seen, Crossfire is fired off and then it hits in the cross once for tooltip damage then disappears. In other youtube videos i’ve seen, people fire the crossfire and it stays on the ground, pulsing for multiple hits each enemy. The latter seems to be much better for obvious reasons, the former kind of lackluster.
So which is it? Im guessing one or the other source(s) is out of date? I even googled Crossfire buff/nerf but got nothing.
Because the thing is, i’m making an archer and going A1 > R3 > F3 but some people say they are going A2 > R2 > F3 because you won’t use Bouncy Shot or Spiral Shot once you have Crossfire and Barbed arrow (most of the time) and then you can both level Steady Aim from Archer 2 to be able to have 100% uptime, and to also and more importantly level the modifier that gives you (and the rest of your party) extra 5% crit rate on it per level, even though im focusing more STR than DEX but still DEX gems etc.
If crossfire does indeed pulse for multiple hits per enemy instead of just the one hit per, then i can see Crossfire indeed being much better than Bouncy Shot and so R3 not being worth it over A2 for 100% Steady Aim uptime and extra perma crit rate, but if Crossfire only hits the once and is awkward to aim, then it doesn’t look so good (as opposed to bouncy shot and lvl 15 barrage + Spiral Shot as a bonus)
Thoughts on that as well? Thanks guys.
