[Hackapell] How BAD or OK is Wugu C1 as a filler on a DEX build?

I’ve been thinking of rolling (or resetting one of my archers) to a A2 QS3 Falcon1 X Hackapell1. This is the result of the things I liked from my experience of running 4 (5?) different archers so far.

  • Multishot + Circling is really good. A2’s Lv.10 MS seems to be the sweet spot. I’ve had an A3 before and there has been quite a number of moments where I either get interrupted with, or forced to not fully charge, a lv.15 MShot.

  • I came to a theory that with MShot + Circling, I’ll be able to stack arrows on multiple monsters at once, allowing me to deal more damage to the group with my Hacka skills (with Circling still up).

  • Running Shot is my filler skill as well as for chasing down stragglers. I use Pavise to pull aggro initially and also as front-back shield when dealing with ranged mobs. Caltrops has its situational use as well as being a filler skill. Guess one could say that I really like QS3 play.

This is mostly a PVE character, something I’d like to hunt mats with as well as be useful in parties. I may PVP with it sometimes, but I already expect it won’t be as good as other Hacka builds (e.g. Fletcher3).

With that said, what do you think should be that filler rank? I’ve been considering Wugu1 but at just one circle, how significant will it still be at higher level content? Wugong Gu + Bewitch seems like a good way to handle groups.

Thoughts?

Actually, not that good.
As a Wu2, the poison doesn’t make miracles against non-earth mobs, so I find Wu1 a bad choice. IMO Scout is a good filler class, so is Ranger and Hunter too (if you get used to its buggy AI as the Falconer needs to rely on).

I guess you didn’t pick R7 classes due to another weapon requirement right?

Not too sure about higher level content.
Currently a A2-Hunter-Wugu2-SR with 35 STR at lv 179. Still able to melt flying bosses (especially that giant stone whale). Didn’t really pay attention to the damage numbers though. Also didn’t really use SR skills since they’re all lv1.

Wugu C1 is bad especially on a Dex build.

I would pick Fletcher C1 for Bodkin Point because it’s so damn useful to remove protective shields.

I would go with Fletcher too as @Sciguma suggested. But you can go with Falc since you get that debuff to throw at enemies.

Wugushi is no good in high DEX builds, poison don’t crit, the damage come from your physical damage, so STR is the way for it.

Scout seem to be a good choice too as per @white_hand suggestion.

I see… thanks for sharing your experience. I can only afford to use one skill that would dismount me (Pavise) so I guess Scout and Hunter aren’t in the list.

I’ll consider Ranger1. I just have one problem with it - 5 skills points won’t be usable considering I’ll only make use of Barrage5 and S.Aim5.

Yes, you read me right. I even hated that Hacka has a gun-only skill but what can I do, the origin of the class does use a gun. Wish the crossbow itself already replaces the gun aspect. XD

I once considered SR1 but after some quick research realized it’s weak at just C1.

Makes sense. By the way, Running Shots seems to allow me to not stop/slow down when using other skills like Oblique Shot and Heavy Shot - is it the same for Fletcher skills? Or will you still be rooted in place?

Was considering Falcon C2 too but I felt doing so would be a waste not to make it Falconer C3 instead.

 I’m desperate to fit Hacka in my build. Huhuhuhu.

Testing that for you right now, one moment.

Edit: You always stand still for a brief moment when using Fletcher Skills.

The Archer tree is actually quite tough for Hacka given that…
Falconer is C1 or C3 as C2 is simply nothing. Reiter is C3 or nothing. Musket/Cannon the same.

This simply leaves one with either Fletcher C1 or Rogue C1. Given that I am also a huge Fan of QS I had the same problem and went Falconer C3.

Ugggh, the Hacka dilemma!

By the way, I only know the tree boss in Siauliai mission being able to use that shield thing which Bodkin can really counter well. Is there any other monsters/bosses that does the same?

Many bosses actually. The Turtle in 290 dungeon spams his damn shield all the time and also Blut has got a 30s shield. >_>
Some quest bosses on the leveling road and who knows what else will get a shield in the future. Simply feels good to remove those shields with the press of a button without having CD.

Oh, nice. Broadhead has its uses too, especially in PVP. I’m not sure though how the remaining 5 points will go since both Barbed and XFire are spam skills which overlaps AAing.

Similar problem with Ranger1 with Barrage and S. Aim being the only necessary skills.

Broadhead is so/so. PVP is not possible because you are not a Cleric. But it’s some decent throw in and forget damage. Especially if you bind enemies with Full Draw.

The rest is garbage to be honest. Crossfire and Barbed are worse than Running Shot Attacks. But you get one really useful skill - that’s worth it for 1 Circle I think.

Abomination have that damned reflect shield, both in the WB at Graveyard and the Cemetery questline.

That ■■■■ reflect 100% damage and it is deadly lol.

I think Rexipher have that too.

Fletcher bodkin point is a nice PvE utility vs bosses with shields.

I wouldn’t recommend Archer 3 multishot, the charging time is long & the animation duration is too long.

I read a reply in another thread that Multishot doesn’t seem to stack arrows - is this true?

It stacks:

Same build QS3 A2 falcon1 (X = musket) hackapell.

Thanks grey!

Now I’m just left with either Fletcher1 or Ranger1. Barrage seems like a good filler and works under Circling too (last I read on another thread) as well as stacks arrows for Hacka skills. S. Aim has same duration as Circling, so 10% more damage isn’t bad at all while I’m doing my combos.

Bodkin seems very valuable especially in situations where there’s no other Fletcher around - heck, I’ve seen a few Fletchers who don’t even know that the skill can be used in such a situation (ie. Siauliai mission tree boss).

If you were in my shoe, which of the two would you go for?

I’m going to Archer 3 ranger 3 Falcon 1 Hacka. I use fletcher 1 on my mergen and is almost useless after you get rank 8. bodkin is good for siauliai and some other bosses.

It aint that super bad but I think you could take falc 2 and maybe falc3 on future ranks if none of the r9 classes suit you.
