Besides all the countless bugs this game has, GvG has really made these show to their fullest extent. Rewards are given to those who are among the top of the weekly standing with the best score, but this is easily controlled by crashes, insane amounts of lag and bugs.
At first it was really fun, ignoring all the lag and the chance of the bug where you cannot move/cast when grabbed in Snow Rolling. Then, as of recently, guilds have started to use the “turtle and ice wall” strat. Thanks to how Ice Wall functions, it counts as a player for every individual wall. This causes players to crash when ice wall is put in their face. Once the game initially freezes, you can only log out asap or face being farmed while staying online with a frozen screen.
I don’t care about ego’s or losing. This is about the game as a core. GvG was a breath of fresh air for a lot of us, and even made tons of old members come back. These problems of instability have been a huge problem from the beginning. The FPS-boost patch we got has even seemed to be reverted since this last update. The most optimal way to win is with crashing players and possibly getting the bug with Snow Rolling. I’m not making this post to complain, I’m making this post to help get attention at how fragile this game is at a core, and it really needs to be fixed. I’ve been here since the beginning, and have been patiently waiting for some sort of fix to this optimization. This would greatly help TBL, GvG, and overall enjoyment of the game as a whole.
