I saw one but not cata3. I think just cata 1, then corsair > dragoon. Played right, I think it works, but mostly in 1v1 or 2v2 scenarios (saw while spectating a 2v2 TBL match).

The way he executed it was wait for 2 enemies to be near each other, run near them (or do e.wave) and then hook em up but making sure they’re both in attack range. He then proceeds with his DPS. Killed both clerics in one of the rounds by himself.

In 5v5 or GvG though I think hook’s effectiveness diminishes and would be more detrimental than helpful to use for the player since there are a lot of things that can possibly kill you while you’re immobile.

I’ve considered it as an R7 pick for lancer once, but I enjoy group PvP more than 1v1 or 2v2 so Goon1, Dopel or Pelt might still be better picks.

dragoon skills are not useful for pvp, and dragoon c1 is bad pve too. so u go corsair for the hook and get lancer later

  • Hook grab

  • Pull closer

  • Dust Devil

  • Hexen Dropper

  • Dust Devil

  • Hexen Dropper

  • Run off until cooldowns are gone

  • Repeat

Once you pull closer with Keel Hauling, it releases the enemy from your hook.

Dust devil doesn’t work like that in pvp thank god.

i have a corsair, but not cata. but i know hook works while mounted, and u are alredy going full pvp, hook is the best cc in the game, and u need a filler for lancer, it just fit perfectly

Iron Hook, Keel Hauling, Double Weapon Assault, and Hexen Dropper all work mounted.

Pistol Shot, Dust Devil, and Jolly Roger do not work mounted.

well you wont get pistol shot anyway since its a circle 3 corsair skill :smiley:
if i were to get corsair with my cata, i’d put 5 hook 5 keel hauling 1 jolly roger just to have it and 4 into treasure chest thing

Cata and doppel wins just if you got Swordman2 or 3 on your build. Perma stunning with restrain is our meta for pvp swordies.
Insta 5 kills if we get a linker + insert your OP skill, and it’s over. Problem is that the top tier TBL (1100)+ is full of clerics on top ranks. And Clerics literally counter Swordman with a single safety zone, if they get a diev3 with Ausrine, it’s probably over.
Plus, most of them are full CON, which is 35-45k hp to take down and just a few swordies with 100% attributes can do that job.

cata is kinda better, since rush with trot got a very high movement speed

Rodelero boy is super annoying too if u ask me. They don have much damage but can be really useful in sticking on enemy core wizard and prevent them doing anything. 1v1 i think rode can be perma cc one person too.
