dude… your getting it all wrong. swordies never OP i just wanna know which class a swordman totally can’t fight.
ohwww so she’s popular here huh
Wizards kill Swordsman before getting near them.
Clerics are near invincible and will outlast Swordsman DPS.
Archers: see Wizards but only to a lesser extent.
‘popular’ probably wouldn’t be the right word =P
You can sprint and guard.
If you are holding guard for more than 0.5 seconds, that’s more of your personal skill problem than swordsman problem.
My guild leader is a highlander barb 3 doppel templar, and none of the physical dps in my guild can win in a duel against him. And our archer is actually top 50 in the ranking. His motto is ‘what’s broadhead? What’s dma?’
I’m basing all my swordsman argument from him, because he can actually rekt archer and cleric whenever I teamed with him or fight against him. Unfortunately, its still really hard for a swordsman to raise in ranking once you fall into the no pd zone because there is just no one to make use of the space you created.

that’s what i wanted to hear. a slice chance, i’m off to practice swording XD
If someone is able to sprint, block an incoming arrow in and for 0.5 seconds consistently you either have the best internet the world could provide or some kind of 3rd party program is being used because that seems VERY unlikely at least to me. If someone else could confirm/do that, then sure, I’ll believe that and STILL say that that kind of skill requirement is absurd.
if wizards kill swordman before getting near them. I wanna know what skill does it.
Clerics are invincible… yeah maybe since I’m noob i can’t say ■■■■ XD!
archers, can kills swordsman quick, I think someone told me arrows could be blocked, what if we go pure con and some dex will that work?
sorry for being very curious
You can start by learning the cd of the enemy’s skill, and bait them out. Make use of the partial status immunity you gain through dashing or pouncing to get through telekinesis.
And the most important is, make use of the mobility by your dashing and strike them only when they are least suspected. Don’t be afraid of dragging out battle. Make it into the mind game where you are the Hunter and the mage is a prey, and tire them out.
Chances you will still lose against kino (lets face it, kino is your natural counter), but most kino except the ranker has sht skill and allow you to get close through baiting maneuver.
Fighting against archer is simple once your blocking gets to a certain skill level. You are natural counter to cleric’s immunity because you are the only class with skillset to pierce them.
One thing about swordsman though, you are not a dps. You are not a solo kirito class unless you are catagoon. Rely on your teammate to kill your enemy, and focus on disabling your enemy instead.
On a duel, you can use dispellers. I’ve seen many Catas win with that. But on TBL, you’re screwed.
what’s a dispellers tho
my experience against psycho/cryo in TBL.
cataphract can kill them, but it is not what you imagine.
basically, cataphract use his/her own cleric as bait, then while wiz use their CD, you charge in and cyclone/rush+restrain lock them to death.
if u r a nice cataphract, u go in first. Straight at the psycho, then make immediate turn 90 degree away from the psycho. Chances are the psycho will respond by using magnetic force, subzero shield, or ice tree, that way u wasted one of his CD and escape while giving ur team a little advantage. Come back later when he is distracted and pwn him.
Now if their team have ausrine + r7f (revenge 7 fold) + psycho/cryo… bend over and enjoy the spanking.
thanks for the tip
yes, thanks for the tip
TBL is actually pretty hard for my reasoning, since their are tons of way you can die and someway you can kill the enemy without noticing. Well I guess that what makes the game fun :3
When your enemy has such a imba composition, you will probably lose as most class unless their skill is really bad anyway.
My squire beat a lot of cryo/kino with these lol
But obviously it doesnt work on TBL
Wizards have plenty of options for killing, it all depends on what path they took; could be Pets/ Minions, could be large AoE, could be single target shots. It’s this way because nothing really blocks magic.
Archers, again depending on the path, have a plethora of skills that’ll do ALL the damage. Yes, arrows and their skills can be blocked, this is the only saving grace you have.
Going pure CON is not an option, you’ll be lacking STR and DEX both of which you’ll need. DEX is about the best you can go against Archer both offensively and defensively, most Archers have high DEX so you’ll need a high enough DEX to hit and evade the ones that have lower DEX than you.
They STILL have the advantage, though, because of their range and higher DPS.
True, outside of tbl you can probably defeat alot of non Warlock wizard by using those.
ohwww thanks for the tip,
so I guess going 1/2/2 str/con/dex is viable i guess
