The last MMO I played before Tree of Savior was Wakfu by Ankama Games. For a few years, Wakfu’s model of payment was a subscription system. When they opened up a SEA server, this particular server was F2P. It was the first of its kind among the other servers.
After some time, the SEA server appeared to be successful and subsequently this new model of payment system was implemented into the NA and EU servers as well. During a GM-players Wakfu meet-up that I attended, it was confirmed that Wakfu SEA server was meant to be a test server to see if the game in general could switch from subscription to F2P or not.
In regards to what it is stated above, how about picking one of the regions to be the test server for Tree of Savior?
Week after week, we here at iToS have been denied of kToS patch with varying reasons. Instead of waiting on it to be perfected, why not take one of the servers, maybe Klaipeda or Orsha, try out new contents and features from kToS and see how it plays out?
Best case scenario, everything works out and the patch is implemented to other servers the following week. Worst case scenario, it’s just one server that will be compromised rather than the entirety of iToS.
