Guild restricted to Templar is crippling the community

I wrote this because I think TOS is lacking on creating a feature that allows players to group and interact with each other, on other mmorpg this feature called a “Guild”. I know that Templar can make a guild but lets be honest, when the available slot is only 20 there is no way this templar going to add some novice on their guild, they rather add other player that focus on end game content (Lv.200++).

I didnt think creating a guild with end game content goal in mind is a bad thing (Im not against it at all). What I suggest is what if TOS allows non Templar class to create something similar like a guild (or a guild that have no ability to declare war so those that went templar actually get rewarded).

I propose this idea because people really need place to socialize, its boring as hell when you cant chat with your friends or guildmates.

is just fine, in other games the guild lost relevance.

It’s crippling the community again…just like the 3 months exclusive back then.
I had no problem with some words b4, but after tos forum came out, I hate 2 words wholeheartedly: “community” and “compensation”.

I usually socialize by standing in Klaipeda on Ch 1, among the Like beggars, and cycle through poses while changing my !!message to silly and sometimes risque things.

My favorite so far is using the Surprised emote on my priest and typing !!I pissed in the holy water.

the “community” for this game (at least as represented in the forums) seems to be about evenly divided between people trying to help other people who are having real issues trying to play the game… and those who just want to complain about whatever’s at hand because the game doesn’t cater to their personal tastes enough.

Guilds, at least as far as ToS goes, are almost purely a PvP feature. “Social Guilds” which are quite popular elsewhere just don’t seem to have a place in the way ToS is designed.

right now, they’re too busy trying to iron out the existing and anticipated problems for the f2p launch. maybe it’ll be something they’ll add over the life of the game, but it won’t be happening soon.

buddy chat system please. I threw it in suggestions but I don’t know if anyone saw it heh do staff even read that section regularily

I think guilds are fine as they are. I think it’d be interesting to see a newbie oriented guild lead by a few high levels or more guilds that care mostly about the social aspect versus everything else. With F2P coming, more guilds lead by more types of people will prob come. Give the guild community some time to grow in pace, as it was more or less made to.

Fact is all guild content is for upper 200s. I don’t see how this is crippling the community at all. If you want people to play with add them on your friend list.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t add lower levels to a guild but I mean there isn’t a real reason for lower levels to make their own guild since all it would be is a chat room till upper 200s.

lol i see beginners running around in Siaulai woods, wondering why the hell they’ve got a guild tag on…

Guild membership is account based, not character. Said “beginner” probably has a high level main.

Well If you join a guild then every single character in your “family” is automatically in the guild.

oh? oh, well that makes more sense then. derp. :stuck_out_tongue:
yay for learning~!

Actually.
Guild with 70+ people are just empty husks.

There’s lots of guilds here that have low level people.
You just need to search for them.

And even without being joined into an actual guild. You could make up an whisper chat for your guild and add everyone as friends.

Atm guild functions are a joke xD.
So you’re not losing out on anything~
Just hook up with people outside of the ingame guilds.

LIKE people DID before they made it a convience to just have it.
And not really talk to anybody…

Wut? How are 70+ guilds a husk? Ive been on guilds with 75 users where the online avg was 65

More often than not guilds with such density end with an average of maybe 10 user active, it can vary a lot.
If your personal experience was better then great for you, not everyone had such a leisure…

eh wat? this game hasnt been out for more then 1 month son lol…

and no making a guild should be special like it is in Tos… otherwise making guilds doesnt make sense…

nope your entier idea or thought is bad…

making a guild should be special and fyi this isnt wow, or any other mmo where making guilds are easy…

actually i support the system, because i remember in Ragnarok, ( although anyone can make a guild )

but it’s strict as F!

It depends on the guild master themselves, whether they wanted to add a lowbie into their clan or just be picky about it. Truthfully, the reason why they did that is because they wanted quality over quantity, as well as being active most of the time. True, they might add a 200+ players but that is a benchmark to those who’ve at least spend countless hours grinding and playing to that level, not just quit halfway into the game.

Templar is a guild making class and unique to its own so I prefer them to keep that way, Probably, the problem that anyone has is that it doesn’t have any special skills or anything (damaging ones), thus regarded as a ‘waste’ of a circle just to make a guild.

I love how “they” say something is messing up the “community”… What community is that? Because i’m not included…
